Original job description

Job Title: Project Coordinator

Location: Edmonton, AB, Vancouver BC., Onsite Squamish BC

Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Schedule: Varies by role

Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year / $40-$50 per hour onsite

We are seeking multiple Project Coordinators to join our teams in the following locations:

Edmonton, Alberta office
Coquitlam, British Columbia office
On-site at a major project in Squamish, British Columbia

Successful candidates will report to the applicable Operations Manager and must be available to work full-time in an office and/or field environment.

Compensation:

Office-based positions: $75,000–$90,000 per year
On-site position: $40–$50 per hour

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and the requirements of the position.

Please note that we’re looking to fill this position as soon as possible.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

■ Assume accountability for project financial performance reporting, including profit and loss,

budgeting, forecasting and cost control.

■ Review drawings, specifications, contracts and other bid documents to define project scope,

exclusions, requirements and deliverables.

■ Prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates, proposals and bid submissions using company estimating

and project-management systems.

■ Participate in bid reviews and closeouts and communicate with clients throughout the bidding

process.

■ Develop project execution plans, schedules, budgets, cost codes, manpower plans and resource

requirements.

■ Ensure completed work and products comply with contractual requirements, specifications, quality

standards and client expectations.

■ Coordinate project activities, including supervision, subcontractors, equipment, materials, shipments

and work packages.

■ Monitor project progress, productivity, quantities, costs, schedules and resource utilization.

■ Maintain accurate project forecasts and identify potential cost, schedule or productivity variances.

■ Notify management and site supervision of projected overruns or underruns and coordinate

corrective actions.

■ Administer contractual requirements, including change management, change orders, claims, notices

and supporting documentation.

■ Ensure project costs, labour, materials, equipment, subcontractors, billing and commitments are

accurately recorded and reconciled.

■ Prepare and present project status reports identifying progress, risks, variances, corrective actions and

forecast outcomes.

■ Maintain complete and organized project, estimate, contract, safety and quality documentation.

■ Provide direction and support to project teams to ensure required documentation and deliverables

are completed accurately and on time.

■ Coordinate with clients, site supervision, internal departments, suppliers and subcontractors to resolve

project issues.

■ Review and maintain project quality documentation and verify that workmanship meets project

requirements.

■ Facilitate documentation related to safety, quality, scheduling, equipment, materials, quantities,

timekeeping and billing.

■ Support project invoicing, progress reporting and quantity verification.

■ Ensure company policies, internal controls, procedures and reporting requirements are followed.

■ Identify and implement cost-saving measures while protecting safety, quality, schedule and

contractual compliance.

■ Support business development, sales, marketing, technology and promotional initiatives related to

the Coatings division.

■ Collaborate with Project Managers, Estimators and other internal disciplines to meet estimating and

project-execution requirements.

■ Demonstrate safe work practices and professional conduct consistent with the responsibilities of the

position.

■ Provide administrative support to project teams and other company offices as required.

■ Complete additional duties and assignments as directed by the Company.

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:

■ Technologist in training (T.T.), Engineer in training(E.I.T.) or relevant previous work experience.

■ Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

■ Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.

■ Good planning, organizational, and time management skills.

■ Written communication skills.

■ The ability to read and interpret construction drawings is an asset but not required.

■ Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a commitment to service excellence for the client.
