Site Superintendent - Permanent - 4292
About the Opportunity
Our client is an established General Contractor with more than three decades of ICI construction experience across Southern Ontario, with a project list that runs from complex renovations to ground-up new builds in the $10M–$100M range. They’ve just been awarded a new slate of transit-sector work, and they need a Site Superintendent ready to take ownership of that portfolio from day one. This is active recruitment for projects already on the books, not a role waiting on a maybe.
This firm isn’t slowing down. It’s an established, busy operation that keeps getting busier, backed by a leadership group built specifically to navigate the complexity of major project execution. It has a long track record delivering notable work across Ontario, including post-secondary institutions, seniors’ and affordable housing communities, and institutional facilities, and it’s still growing.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Full site leadership for transit-sector ICI projects in the $10M range, from mobilization through closeout
- A role split between office and site, so you’re planning the work as well as running it
- Direct collaboration with owners, consultants, trades and every other project stakeholder to keep milestones on track
- Mentoring junior site staff and helping shape how the team runs its jobs going forward
About You
The successful candidate will have the following:
- The motivation and drive to take on a demanding portfolio and see it all the way through
- Demonstrable experience working with a General Contractor or Construction Management firm on ICI projects, including interiors and ground-up new construction
- A collaborative style and strong communication skills; you know how to keep a room full of stakeholders aligned, not just informed
- TTC or transit project experience is a strong asset, though not a hard requirement
- Proven leadership on site, with a real interest in mentoring junior staff as they come up
About the Job
This is a permanent position, offering a mix of office and site-based work.
Compensation is in the $120,000 range, plus bonus potential, travel allowance, RRSP matching, and a strong medical benefits package, with the opportunity to join a growing team of experienced construction professionals in a genuinely collaborative environment.
