Grain & Crop Inputs: The Grain & Crop Inputs Division connects Canadian farmers to markets across the country and beyond. With a network of grain elevators, terminals, and agri-retail locations, we provide crop inputs, agronomic solutions, and grain marketing expertise to help producers succeed.
The Role
As Facility Assistant II, you will be responsible for carrying out the required duties involved in the movement and sampling of grain, and the overall execution of processes involved in the operation of the facility.

The Role
As Facility Assistant II, you will be responsible for carrying out the required duties involved in the movement and sampling of grain, and the overall execution of processes involved in the operation of the facility.
Day to Day
- Contributing to the movement of grain by loading/unloading shipments
- Collecting, testing, and recording grain samples
- Exercising competency in grading commodities
- Operate machinery with confidence and precision
- Perform basic mathematical calculations to accurately blend fertilizer
- Regular facility maintenance & housekeeping
- Commitment to maintaining a safe & compliant working environment
- Performing exceptional customer service duties
- Other duties as required
- 2+ years’ experience in a general labour job, preferably in agricultural and/or farming
- Knowledge of hydraulic machinery & electrical considered an asset
- Class 1 driver’s license
- Ability to lift heavy materials repeatedly (up to 50 lbs.)
- Ability to work within environment subject to dust and allergens
- Ability to work at heights
- Flexible work schedule

Responsibilities
Move grain by loading and unloading shipments, collect and test samples, record results, and grade commodities. Operate machinery, blend fertilizer, maintain and clean the facility, follow safety requirements, and provide customer service.
Requirements
Applicants should have at least two years of general labour experience, preferably in agriculture or farming, and a Class 1 driver's license. They must be able to repeatedly lift up to 50 pounds, work around dust and allergens and at heights, and maintain a flexible schedule; hydraulic machinery and electrical knowledge are assets.
