Role Description The Assistant Store Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Okotoks, AB. This role supports daily store operations, including overseeing inventory, ensuring accurate merchandising, and maintaining a clean, organized retail environment. The Assistant Store Manager assists with supervising and scheduling staff, coaching team members, and supporting performance management to meet sales and service goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include engaging with customers, resolving issues, processing transactions, and ensuring a positive in-store experience. The role also helps implement loss prevention procedures, monitors store security and compliance, and contributes to local marketing or promotional activities to drive traffic and growth.

• Customer-facing skills: ability to deliver strong Customer Service and maintain high Customer Satisfaction.
• Communication skills: clear, professional Communication with customers, team members, and management.
• Operational management skills: experience with Store Management, including staffing support, inventory, and daily retail operations.
• Risk and loss control skills: familiarity with Retail Loss Prevention practices and basic store security procedures.
• Previous experience in retail, hardware, appliance parts, or related environments is an asset.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Comfort using point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications (e.g., email, spreadsheets, inventory tools).
• Ability to stand for extended periods, handle light to moderate lifting, and work flexible hours, including weekends as needed.
