Reporting to the Sales Operations & Analytics Manager, the Sales Operations Analyst is responsible for the analysis, reporting, and operational support that keep the Sales organization running effectively and efficiently. This role supports the systems and processes that underpin Sales - including forecasting, pipeline reporting, conversion analysis, territory and capacity data, and the reporting used by Sales leadership and the Executive Leadership Team. You will work closely with Sales Managers and cross-functional partners in Marketing, Finance, and Implementation to ensure data integrity, accurate reporting, and strong sales productivity in a high-volume, SMB-focused payroll SaaS environment.

ANALYZE. OPTIMIZE. GROW – IT’S WHAT YOU’LL DO

+ Sales Reporting & Analytics – Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and executive scorecards that provide visibility into sales performance, pipeline health, and revenue trends. Write DAX formulas for complex KPIs, time intelligence calculations, and comparative period analysis. Analyze funnel health and conversion rates at each stage, track key sales KPIs including pipeline coverage, win rates, sales cycle length, and account executive productivity, and deliver clear insights and recommendations to Sales leadership and the Executive Leadership Team.

+ Pipeline Management & Forecasting – Prepare and maintain weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecast reporting for review by the Sales Operations & Analytics Manager and CRO. Identify pipeline gaps, slippage risks, and coverage requirements. Analyze pipeline stage conversion and deal velocity, and maintain the territory and pipeline data that Sales Managers depend on to execute their plans.

+ Territory & Capacity Support – Support territory modeling and capacity analysis, creating and maintaining the data and models that keep account distribution equitable and aligned with sales capacity and growth targets.

+ Apply data science to territory design - using Python, geospatial analysis, and clustering algorithms to build balanced territories optimized across rep workload, revenue potential, and geography. Support quota-setting and capacity planning by preparing the underlying data and models.

+ Systems & Sales Process – Maintain CRM data quality, pipeline hygiene, and reporting standards across the Sales organization. Help document and maintain the end-to-end sales process to support consistency and scale. Support change initiatives by defining process impacts, systems updates, and success metrics. Monitor tool usage to ensure it accurately reflects real sales behaviour and workflows, flagging gaps to the Sales Operations Manager.

+ Data Science & Advanced Analytics – Develop, deploy, and apply machine learning models for business use cases including forecasting, scoring, and classification using scikit-learn, XGBoost, or similar libraries. Write SQL to extract, clean, and transform data across sales systems, building reliable pipelines that ensure reporting is built on accurate, well-structured data. Use Python for data manipulation and automation, and leverage visualization libraries to communicate findings effectively.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

+ 3+ years of experience in Sales Operations, Revenue Operations, Business Intelligence, or a related analytical role, ideally within a B2B SaaS environment.

+ Hands-on experience building reports and dashboards in Power BI, producing actionable visualizations for sales leadership.

+ Hands-on experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud; Salesforce Administrator certification is an asset.

+ Demonstrated Python proficiency for data manipulation and automation (pandas, NumPy); experience with data visualization libraries (matplotlib, seaborn, Plotly) is an asset.

+ Strong analytical, reporting, and data interpretation skills with the ability to surface insights and recommendations from complex data.

+ Familiarity with revenue intelligence tools and AI-enabled sales platforms such as Gong, Clay, or similar is preferred.

+ Strong stakeholder communication skills with the ability to partner across Sales, Marketing, and Finance.

BONUS SKILL SET

+ Exposure to quota and territory modeling is an asset.

+ Experience in payroll, HCM, or HR technology is considered an asset.
