PBS is the fastest growing “All Inclusive Business Platform” vendor in North America and we’ve only just begun!
PBS has been transforming how people buy and service cars for almost 40 years, becoming the third largest Dealership Management System (DMS) provider in North America. Each month, hundreds of new users join our platform, which helps dealerships manage sales, service, inventory, and accounting. What sets us apart is how we treat our customers - as partners, innovators and friends.
Dealer Image Pro (DIP), a division of PBS, helps dealerships create consistent, high-quality vehicle photos, videos, and 360° experiences that drive faster sales, combining powerful software, AI and hand-edited imaging, and hands-on training to streamline merchandising from capture to publishing.
At PBS and DIP, we invest in your growth. Your career can progress in alignment with your strengths, interests, and aspirations. Apply today!
The Role:
Dealer Image Pro is looking for an Associate Product Manager to help keep day-to-day product work moving. Working closely with the VP of Product, this person will help manage product issues, analyze usage and adoption, support releases, and turn customer feedback into practical next steps.
This is a hands-on role for someone who likes finding answers and taking ownership. You do not need experience with our exact tools, but you should be comfortable working with data, investigating technical issues, and learning new systems. You should also be able to explain what you find clearly to both technical and non-technical teams.
This is a fully on-site role at the PBS Systems headquarters in Calgary, Alberta. Remote and hybrid arrangements are not available for this position.
Job Responsibilities:
- Triage product issues by assessing urgency and customer impact, then coordinate next steps with Development, Support, and Dealer Success.
- Keep the product issue backlog organized, follow up on open items, and identify recurring problems that need a longer-term fix.
- Use product and business data to answer questions about usage, adoption, and the customer experience.
- Maintain useful dashboards and reports and help ensure key product metrics are tracked accurately.
- Participate in sprint planning and help with quality assurance, release readiness, rollout tracking, and internal communication.
- Coordinate beta and field testing, collect feedback, and keep release notes and version updates current.
- Maintain a clear process for capturing and prioritizing customer feedback and product ideas.
- Turn technical findings and customer feedback into practical recommendations for the product team.
What Success Looks Like:
Within the first six months, the Associate Product Manager should be able to:
- Handle routine issue triage, product reporting, and release coordination with limited day-to-day direction.
- Keep product issues, customer feedback, and release information organized and current.
- Use data to surface useful insights and make recommendations that influence product decisions.
- Keep day-to-day product operations moving when the VP of Product is unavailable.
MUST HAVE Skills:
- 2-4 years of experience in product management, product operations, data or business analysis, technical program management, solutions engineering, or a similar software-related role.
- Experience working with product analytics, business intelligence, or error-monitoring tools.
- The ability to investigate technical issues, ask useful questions, and work effectively with engineers.
- Strong written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain technical information to non-technical audiences.
- A track record of owning work through completion and knowing when to decide or escalate.
Additional Skills:
- Experience with mobile app releases, beta programs, field testing, or mobile device management.
- Experience writing test cases or running structured quality assurance.
- Familiarity with issue-tracking and documentation tools.
- Working knowledge of HTML and basic CSS.
- Experience in automotive, dealership, photography, or imaging technology.
- Practical experience using AI tools for drafting or analysis, along with the judgement to review and correct the output.
- Familiarity with the Apple ecosystem, including macOS, iOS, and mobile app release or device-management workflows.
What we offer:
- Professional Development – Continuous training, industry certifications, and clear pathways for career advancement.
- Travel Opportunities - Travel to locations across Canada, the U.S., and the Caribbean
- Comprehensive health benefits - Medical and dental coverage to support your well-being.
- Paid Time Off – Generous PTO to help you recharge and maintain work-life balance.
- Inclusive culture - A collaborative, supportive team environment where your ideas and voice truly matter.
- Employee recognition - Regular appreciation programs and performance-based incentives
- Competitive compensation package
- Competitive annual base salary
- Additional performance incentives
- Attractive referral bonuses
