As a Data Analyst for PCL Constructors Inc. in Edmonton, Alberta (Corporate), you'll support CraftStream, an internally built application, with a focus on data, integrations, analytics, and continuous improvement. You’ll develop Power BI reports and dashboards, maintain ETL processes, troubleshoot data quality and integration issues, and use technologies such as SQL, Boomi, Azure Synapse, Fabric, and Azure DevOps to deliver effective technical solutions. Working closely with business and technical stakeholders, you’ll help ensure CraftStream and its connected systems provide reliable, meaningful data that supports business decision-making.

Here's how a Data Analyst for PCL Constructors Inc. within Edmonton NAHQ contributes to our team:

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes using Boomi, Azure Synapse, and Power BI.
• Creates, maintains, and enhances analytics, data integrations, and data repository solutions.
• Investigates, troubleshoots and resolves bugs, particularly related to data quality between systems.
• Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that support business decision-making.
• Use SQL to manipulate, transform, and analyze data.
• Translate business requirements and architectural designs into effective technical solutions.
• Conduct iterative testing with clients and stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business needs.
• Research and recommend new data and analytics technologies, enhancements, and best practices.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and track development progress in Azure DevOps.

Qualifications

• Postsecondary degree or diploma in computer technology or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of progressive experience in a related field.
• Ability to think logically and analytically, and constructively express ideas and concepts.
• Intermediate to advanced experience with:
  • Analytic tools and technology (Power BI)
  • Data storage technologies (Fabric, OneLake, Data Lake, SQL)
  • Data movement and transformation technologies (Boomi, Data Bricks, Data Factory, etc.)
  • Azure DevOps Boards and Pipelines
  • Scripting languages (SQL or Python)
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build stakeholder relationships and communicate complex concepts clearly.
