Build Your Career in Large-Format Print
PCL Graphics is a well-established large-format printing and fabrication company with decades of experience producing high-quality work across signage, displays, graphics and custom fabrication.
We’re looking for a Project Manager to join our growing team in Markham.
We’re open to different levels of experience. You may already have project management or production experience within the printing, signage or graphics industry, or you may be a recent graduate from a Graphic Communications Management or related program looking for the opportunity to build your career in the industry.
What matters most is that you’re organized, detail-oriented, eager to learn and excited about working in a fast-paced production environment where you’ll see projects come to life.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Project Manager, you’ll help coordinate projects from order intake through production and final delivery, working closely with multiple departments to keep jobs organized, accurate and on schedule.
You’ll:
- Coordinate active jobs through prepress, print, CNC, finishing, packaging and shipping
- Work closely with sales, production and other internal teams to keep projects moving
- Review job specifications, drawings, materials and production requirements
- Build and maintain project timelines and follow up on outstanding items
- Communicate with customers and internal teams regarding timelines, revisions and project status
- Identify potential production issues and work with the team to resolve them
- Maintain accurate work orders, change requests and project documentation
- Coordinate materials, outside services and internal resources with production schedules
- Support quality control and ensure work is being produced to specification
- Keep multiple projects organized in a busy, deadline-driven environment
Who We’re Looking For
We’re open to candidates at different stages of their careers.
You may be an experienced industry candidate with:
- Project management, production coordination or account management experience within printing, signage, graphics or fabrication
- Knowledge of large-format printing and production workflows
- Experience coordinating jobs through prepress, print, finishing and delivery
- Familiarity with materials and processes such as vinyl, laminates, rigid substrates, cutting, routing, CNC, mounting or fabrication
Or you may be an emerging industry professional with:
- A degree or diploma in Graphic Communications Management, Graphic Communications, Print Management or a related field
- An understanding of print production and graphic communications gained through your education, internships or co-op experience
- A strong interest in developing a career in project management within the printing industry
Recent graduates of Toronto Metropolitan University’s Graphic Communications Management program are encouraged to apply.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
Regardless of your experience level, we’re looking for someone who brings:
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- A proactive approach to solving problems
- Comfort working closely with production teams in a hands-on environment
- A willingness to learn and develop your knowledge of our equipment, materials and production processes
- A strong sense of ownership and follow-through
Why Join PCL Graphics?
This is an opportunity to join an established company with an experienced team and a strong reputation in the industry.
You’ll work alongside people who understand print and fabrication, learn from experienced project and production professionals, and have the opportunity to manage increasingly complex projects as your experience grows.
For an experienced print professional, it’s an opportunity to bring your industry knowledge to a strong team and take ownership of projects from start to finish.
For someone earlier in their career, it’s an opportunity to learn the business from the inside and build a long-term career in the print and graphics industry.
