Original job description
Production
- Run all production equipment according schedule and specifications
- Safely and efficiently operate production material handling equipment, including hand trucks
- Assure that the RPO schedule is completed in time
- Advise Production Supervisor of any receipt discrepancies
- Assure that all products are built to the highest standard of quality
RPO Processing
- Accept and confirm all RPO’s with correct material supplied
- Ensure proper packaging and labeling of the product for shipment
- Check product with appropriate RPO documentation
Housekeeping
- Maintain production work spaces in clean and tidy manner and ensure the neat and orderly storage of all stock
- Ensure all waste is placed in proper receptacles and is disposed of, or recycled, in a timely manner
- Ensure emergency exits, fire extinguishers and hoses are accessible at all times and warehouse aisles are kept free of clutter, pallets etc.
- Move scrap and garbage in designated containers
Health and Safety
- Comply with basic health and safety regulations and procedures
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
- Report accidents and unsafe conditions to the Production Supervisor
- Participate in Health and Safety committee as required
Interpersonal
- Work cooperatively with others in a group/team environment
- Verbally communicate effectively with others.
