WHY WE NEED YOU? GLAD YOU ASKED...
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Data Products to execute and grow Pelmorex's data business: the audience, attribution, and distribution products we sell to agencies, brands, and partners, and the data platform underneath them.
This is a hands-on builder's role at an inflection point. Our data products have real revenue and real market traction. Third-party identifiers are receding, Canadian privacy legislation is being rewritten, and clients increasingly want to collaborate on data rather than buy it off the shelf. The person in this seat will turn that shift into an advantage by standing up privacy-safe data collaboration by connecting our weather, location, and behavioural signals to the outcomes our clients care about.
The ideal candidate combines commercial instinct with genuine technical fluency in modern data infrastructure and privacy-enhancing technologies. They are comfortable in a client conversation, a legal review, and an architecture discussion in the same afternoon.
Please note, we are only considering candidates who are eligible to work in Canada and can work in a Hybrid model at our Oakville location.

WHAT'S THE DAY TO DAY LIKE?
Data Product Strategy and Ownership

Own the vision, roadmap, commercial performance, and delivery of Pelmorex's data product portfolio: Audience Segments, Foot Traffic Attribution (FTA), and the Engagefront DSP across both its managed service and its Pelmorex Audience self-serve tier.

Set a clear, differentiated position for weather and location signals in the Canadian advertising market, and translate it into products clients will pay for.

Track portfolio health, key operational metrics, and revenue targets, providing regular reporting, forecasting, and performance updates to leadership.

Lead a team of three product managers, setting direction, developing capability, and holding a high bar for customer discovery and evidence-based decisions.
Data Platform and Data Utilization

Set the direction for the data platform that our products are built on, working with technology leadership to evaluate options and make the build, buy, and partner decisions.

Implement a privacy-safe data collaboration capability, including clean room approaches, that allows Pelmorex and its clients and partners to work with combined data sets without exposing raw personal information.

Define how that capability is packaged, priced, and taken to market as a product rather than an internal tool.

Set the data source strategy for the platform and determine how Pelmorex's data assets are best combined to create value.

Ensure productized data reaches clients, partners, ad platforms, and internal product teams through the right channels.
Privacy, Governance, and Regulatory Navigation

Serve as the business owner of data governance for the portfolio, partnering with Legal and Privacy to interpret and operationalize Quebec's Law 25, PIPEDA, and pending federal reform under Bill C-36 and the proposed Protecting Privacy and Consumer Data Act.

Translate regulatory change into product requirements, consent architecture, data retention rules, and contractual terms, ahead of enforcement rather than in reaction to it.

Establish the review process and documentation standards that let new data use cases move from idea to green light quickly and defensibly.

Ensure responsible use of AI and automated decisioning within data products, aligned with Pelmorex's AI governance framework.
Commercial and Client Partnership

Work alongside Sales, Sales Operations, and the B2B organization to bring data products to market, support key client conversations, and shorten the path from pitch to signed business.

Develop data partnerships and collaboration agreements with agencies, holding companies, retail media networks, and data providers.
-
Act as a senior voice with clients and partners on data strategy and how our products create value for them.

Track competitive and platform shifts, including changes in identity, ad platform data co-ops, and clean room ecosystems, and adjust the roadmap accordingly.
Insights, Measurement, and Analytics

Own the insights layer of the portfolio: turning weather, location, and behavioural data into evidence of business impact for clients and for internal decision-making.

Set the standard for how campaign effectiveness and attribution are measured and communicated, and defend that methodology with clients and partners.
Cross-Functional Leadership

Partner with the engineering and data science leaders who provide capacity to this portfolio, aligning roadmaps, sequencing work, and resolving competing priorities across products.

Collaborate with consumer product teams to feed audience and personalization capability into the TWN and MétéoMédia experiences.

Work with Sales and Sales Operations on pricing and packaging, and build the investment case for platform and product bets.

Represent the data business to the executive team with clear, quantified narratives, including risks and dependencies stated plainly.
WE ARE HOPING YOU HAVE:
-
A bachelor's degree in a related field such as Business, Data Science, Computer Science, or Marketing is preferred; equivalent experience and demonstrated expertise will also be considered.

7–8+ years of total experience in data product management, adtech, martech, or commercial data strategy.
-
Direct experience in advertising, media, or the data supply chain that serves them is required.
-
Demonstrated experience with data clean rooms or privacy-enhancing technologies, whether building, buying, or operating them, with recognized platforms such as InfoSum, LiveRamp, Habu, Snowflake, Databricks, or Google Ads Data Hub.

Working knowledge of modern data platforms and the economics of running them, including warehousing, pipelines, identity resolution, and matching.

Practical fluency in Canadian privacy law as it applies to advertising data, including Law 25 and PIPEDA, and the ability to work productively with legal counsel rather than around them.

Proven track record of owning commercial outcomes for a data or product line, with measurable revenue or margin results.

Strong understanding of the programmatic ecosystem, including DSPs, SSPs, ad servers, audience taxonomies, and measurement and attribution methods.

Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain a matching architecture to a CMO and a client requirement to an engineer in the same week.
Nice to Have

Experience launching a data collaboration or clean room product to market, including pricing and packaging.

Experience with location data, retail media, or attribution products.

Bilingual (English and French).
