THE OPPORTUNITY
We're looking for a technically experienced Vehicle Technician to join an established automotive dealership in Romford.
This is an opportunity for someone with strong technical knowledge who can confidently diagnose, repair and maintain vehicles to a high standard. You'll be an important part of the Workshop team, working on a wide range of jobs and supporting the smooth running of the department.

THE ROLE
You'll be responsible for carrying out servicing, repairs and diagnostics to manufacturer standards, while helping maintain a high level of quality across the Workshop.
You'll Be Responsible For
- Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance to a high standard.
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults.
- Using diagnostic equipment to identify and rectify faults.
- Working efficiently while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
- Carrying out technical inspections and identifying additional work required.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with manufacturer procedures.
- Supporting less experienced members of the Workshop where required.
- Maintaining accurate job cards and workshop records.
- Working closely with Service Advisors and the wider Aftersales team.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and professional working environment.
We're looking for someone with strong technical ability and a good depth of workshop experience.
You'll Need
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician within the automotive industry.
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge.
- Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding ability.
- Confidence working on more complex technical jobs.
- Good attention to detail and a quality-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to the wider Workshop team.
- Good communication and customer awareness.
- A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities
Service, repair, and maintain vehicles to manufacturer standards, diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults and carrying out technical inspections. Maintain accurate workshop records, work safely and efficiently, and collaborate with the Workshop team, Service Advisors, and Aftersales colleagues.
Requirements
Applicants need proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex faults. A full UK driving licence, attention to detail, and effective teamwork and communication are required; manufacturer or franchised dealership experience is advantageous.
