Original job description
Director - Delivery Integration - Major Rail programme
Our client is helping to transform a major rail transit network into a frequent, two-way, all-day regional railway. It brings electrification, new signaling and train control, new stations and major works across five live corridors, making it one of North America's largest regional rail programmes.
The client is now the programme's single integrator, and we're looking for a senior rail leader to take on a Vice President role, focusing on Delivery Integration. You will own how the contracts, corridors and partners come together as one working railway.
Why you will want to consider this role
- Career defining scale. Lead integration on a multi billion dollar programme of a kind that rarely comes along
- You will own the integration outcome directly, not oversee someone else's
- The integration approach is still being set, and you will define it and build the team
- You will work directly with the executive team, Board and Government partners
- Your work will bring frequent, all day service to one of the continent's fastest growing city regions.
Key responsibilities
- Set the integration strategy and governance, and lead the integration team
- Own interface management across contracts, host railways, utilities and the operator
- Lead the integrated master schedule, critical path and key handover dates
- Set the track access and possession strategy on a live network
- Assess cross programme impacts of change and keep designs aligned
- Lead integrated testing, commissioning and handover into passenger service
- Manage senior consortium relationships and report to the Board and Government partners
About you
- Executive level integration or delivery leadership on a major, multi contract rail programme
- Client side experience, ideally on an operating railway
- A track record of taking major rail systems into passenger service
- Credibility with contractor CEOs and comfort working under public scrutiny
- Educated to degree standard, and hold additional professional qualifications (MAPM, ChPP etc)
On offer is a competitive salary commensurate with the seniority of the position.
To apply in confidence, please send us a copy of your CV (it doesn't have to be up to date) and we can arrange a follow on call. All applications will be handled in strict confidence.
