- more than 5 years of experience in similar functions
- knowledge of the Design-build system and MS Office suite (Outlook-Word-Excel)
- good oral and written communication skills in French and English
- prepare work to be estimated by collecting proposals, specifications, plans and tender documents
- propose, analyze and suggest alternatives to what is specified on the drawings
- identify and review general and special conditions of projects
- calculate costs by analyzing labor and material requirements
- obtain bids from suppliers
- conduct quantity and material surveys
- prepare formal bid
- present the estimate to the Chief Estimator and/or Project Manager
- attend site visits when required

Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze estimates by reviewing plans, specifications, tender documents, and project conditions; assess labor and material costs, obtain supplier bids, and identify alternatives. Conduct quantity and material surveys, prepare formal bids, present estimates to the Chief Estimator or Project Manager, and attend site visits when required.
Requirements
Candidates should have more than five years of experience in similar estimating roles and knowledge of the Design-Build system and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel. Strong oral and written communication in French and English, organization, autonomy, initiative, teamwork, and the ability to manage priorities, emergencies, and deadlines are also required.
