Key Responsibilities
As a Transit Architect with the Perkins&Will team, you will:
- Demonstrate advanced knowledge of project complexity to proactively contribute to the overall success of the team by adhering to firm and project goals and standards of excellence in design, execution, and sustainable and resilient design.
- Lead development of design ideas, concepts, and solutions while participating as an integral member of the design team.
- Coordinate drawings within teams and with consultants for schematic design, design development, and construction documents.
- Analyze product research and identify material selections.
- Prepare and oversee development of material for client design presentations.
- Participate in client presentations.
- Effectively manage competing priorities and workloads to ensure project commitments are delivered on time, with a high degree of organization and consistency.
- Demonstrate curiosity and proactively seek exposure to project management responsibilities.
- Support the growth and development of team members through project-based mentorship, teaching, and appropriate delegation and supervision.
- Participate in studio design reviews, charettes, and pin-ups.
- Proactively foster communication and collaboration across the design team.
- Express curiosity about the world of design and industry at large.
- Communicate ideas and thoughts in a way that inspires others.
- Coordinate effectively with partners and consultants.

Qualifications and Certifications
- 5+ years of experience, with 2+ years in the design and/or construction of transit facilities strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of experience, with demonstrated construction site experience in Canada.
- Degree in architecture or related discipline required.
- Architectural license considered an asset.
- LEED GA within 6 months of hire.
- Professional Accreditation in one area of Living Design that interests you: LEED AP with Specialty, BREEAM AP, WELL AP, SITES AP, Passive House Institute Certified Passive House Consultant/Designer CPHC/CPHD, or ILFI Living Future Accreditation within the first 12 months of hire.

At the time of posting this job advertisement, the annual pay salary range for this position is between $81,500 – $104,000. Compensation placement will be determined based on the successful candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, skills, and internal equity considerations.
