Role Description The Winter Analyst role at Permanent Corp. is a full-time, on-site position based in Montreal, QC. The Winter Analyst will support investment and operational teams by analyzing potential acquisitions, preparing financial models, and conducting qualitative and quantitative research on target companies and industries. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with due diligence, preparing internal presentations and reports, and helping monitor performance of existing portfolio companies. The Winter Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to process improvements, and support leadership with ad hoc analytical projects as needed.
Qualifications

Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including comfort working with financial data and building basic models.
Solid research and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and critical thinking.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to synthesize complex information into concise presentations.
Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and other common business tools; familiarity with financial or data analysis software is an asset.
Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
Current enrollment in or recent completion of a degree in finance, economics, business, engineering, or a related field.
Interest in long-term investing, entrepreneurship, and working with niche, growing businesses.
Professional fluency in English; French language skills in Quebec are an asset.
