Original job description

Petal is a leading Canadian healthcare technology company helping modernize healthcare through smarter coordination, analytics, and operational workflows.

With Petal Medical Billing, we help physicians and other healthcare professionals simplify their billing processes and spend less time on administrative tasks.

Recognized as a Great Place to Work, we're growing quickly and looking for people who want to make a meaningful impact on healthcare across Canada.

The opportunity

Reporting to the SMB Sales leadership team, you will be responsible for growing Petal Medical Billing sales among physicians and clinics in Quebec.

This is a full-cycle B2B sales role. You will manage inbound leads, develop new opportunities through prospecting, and guide prospective customers throughout the sales cycle, from the initial conversation through to close.

You will also reactivate previous opportunities, actively manage your pipeline, and build trusted relationships with healthcare professionals.

You will work closely with the Sales, Marketing, and Billing Operations teams to understand customer needs and recommend solutions that fit their practice.

Your responsabilities

Manage the sales cycle with physicians, clinics, and other healthcare professionals, from initial contact through to close.
Manage inbound leads and generate new opportunities through prospecting.
Lead discovery calls to understand prospective customers’ needs, challenges, and priorities.
Present and demonstrate Petal Medical Billing and clearly communicate its value.
Maintain consistent and timely follow-ups throughout the sales process.
Re-engage previous leads and closed-lost opportunities.
Manage your pipeline, activities, and opportunities in Salesforce.
Partner with the Billing Operations team to address more specialized customer questions.
Identify cross-selling opportunities across other Petal solutions.
Share customer feedback and market trends with internal teams.
Represent Petal at selected industry events and conferences in Quebec.

What you bring

Professional experience in B2B sales, business development, or account management with commercial responsibilities.
Hands-on experience with prospecting, opportunity qualification, pipeline management, and customer relationship development.
The ability to manage multiple opportunities at different stages of the sales cycle.
A consultative approach: you seek to understand the customer’s needs before recommending a solution.
Strong autonomy, organization, and consistency in follow-up.
The ability to work toward sales targets and move opportunities through to close.
Curiosity and the ability to quickly learn a specialized product and industry.
A collaborative mindset and openness to feedback.
Excellent written and spoken French.
Good command of English to support the professional interactions required as part of the role.

Important assets

Sales experience with physicians, clinics, or other healthcare professionals.
Experience in health technology, medtech, pharmaceuticals, or medical billing.
SaaS or technology solution sales experience.
Experience using Salesforce.
Outbound prospecting experience.

What you’ll gain by joining us

The opportunity to contribute to the modernization of Canada’s healthcare system.
Ownership of an important market for Petal in Quebec.
An established flow of inbound leads combined with the opportunity to build your own pipeline.
A role where you can manage your opportunities from initial contact through to close.
A collaborative sales team where sharing ideas and supporting one another are valued.
Close collaboration with Billing, Marketing, and Product teams.
The opportunity to develop expertise in a specialized market and sell a solution that directly helps healthcare professionals simplify their day-to-day work.

Our benefits

4 to 6 weeks of paid vacation per year;
5 paid personal days per year;
A group RRSP / DPSP plan with employer contribution;
A complete group insurance plan, from day 1;
An annual wellness allowance;
Access to the Lumino Health™ telehealth application;
Recurring remote/hybrid work allowance; In our opinion, a company cannot claim to be modern, innovative and have the well-being of their team at heart, without attempting to integrate remote working to the level that their business model allows them to.

Petal is an active participant in the equal opportunity employment program, and members of the following target groups are encouraged to apply: women, people with disabilities, aboriginal peoples and visible minorities. If you are a person with a disability, assistance with the screening and selection process is available on request.
