Original job description

PFP Partners is a Canadian manufacturer of firestopping products based in British Columbia. For more than 30 years, we have manufactured firestop solutions in Canada and supported contractors, distributors, and construction professionals across the industry.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Inside/Outside Firestop Salesman to help grow our business. This position combines inside sales, customer relationship management, and field sales with regular visits to contractors, distributors, construction sites, and prospective customers.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain relationships with firestop contractors, MEP contractors, general contractors, specialty contractors, and distributors

Generate new business through phone calls, emails, customer visits, job site visits, and industry networking

Follow up on sales inquiries, leads, quotations, projects, and customer opportunities

Grow sales through our existing wholesale and distribution network

Identify new contractors, projects, distributors, and business opportunities

Visit construction sites and contractor offices to introduce PFP products and provide product support

Conduct product demonstrations and firestop training for contractors and distributor teams

Assist customers in identifying appropriate firestop products and systems for their applications

Develop new accounts while maintaining and growing relationships with existing customers

Track sales opportunities, projects, customer activity, and competitive activity in the market

Represent PFP Partners at trade shows, industry events, training sessions, and customer meetings

Build relationships with engineers and architects to promote and support the specification of PFP firestop products and systems in upcoming projects

Qualifications:

Firestop or passive fire protection industry experience is required. Experience in technical construction sales, building products, or contractor focused sales will also be considered.

Candidates with experience working with firestop or construction product manufacturers, or similar companies are encouraged to apply.

A bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred. Relevant industry experience may be considered in place of formal education.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working both inside the office and in the field. You should be confident communicating with contractors, engineers, architects, and distributors, developing new accounts, visiting active construction sites, and building long term customer relationships.

A valid driver’s licence and the ability to travel within the assigned territory are required.

Compensation and Benefits:

• $72,000 - $90,000 annual base salary (based on experience)

Car allowance for customer and job site travel

Strong earning potential based on sales performance
