Original job description

At Phantom, making life better is our mission: for our customers and our employees. We’re driven by our vision and values – it’s what sets us apart as a corporation – and what makes Phantom Screens a special place to work. Since our beginning, in 1992, Phantom has excelled, expanded, and stayed laser-focused on our passion: making and installing the highest-quality retractable screens on the market. Now we’re THE top-selling retractable screen, and our products are international.

Employee Experience Coordinator

Phantom Screens is on the hunt for a detail-obsessed, confidentiality-loving, multitasking people person to join our Employee Experience team. If you can juggle spreadsheets, interviews, and benefits forms without breaking a sweat - and you smile while doing it - keep reading. 👀

What You'll Actually Do

Think of yourself as the behind-the-scenes magician who keeps the Employee Experience team focused:

Payroll Sidekick – Help the HR Generalist get everyone paid on time (because nobody likes payroll problems).
Recruitment Ninja – Screen resumes, conduct phone screens, schedule interviews, send out "congrats, you got the job!" emails, and chase down reference checks.
Benefits Whisperer – Keep tabs on enrollment dates, process coverage changes, and be the go-to person for "wait, what does my plan cover again?"
Data & Documentation Guardian – Keep Dayforce, Synergy, and the HR Shared Drive organized and filled with all the right info at the right times.
Inbox Hero – Tame the HR email inbox and make sure the right info gets to the right people.
SOP Architect – Help build and maintain the playbooks that keep the department running smoothly.
Posting Picasso – Whip up slide decks, Canva docs and any other internal training and communications needs.
Vibe Keeper – Live out our core values (Truth, Excellence, Service, Stewardship) and be approachable, bringing good vibes to every interaction, Making Life Better for all our employees.

What You Bring to the Table

The ability to keep sensitive info confidential
Eagle-eyed attention to detail
Low supervision, high initiative - you're the type who asks 'why?' and then just... fixes it. If there's a better way to do something, you've probably already found it.
Solid grip on BC's Employment Standards Act and Human Rights legislation
Intermediate-to-advanced Word, Excel, Canva, and PowerPoint skills
Nerves of steel under pressure - interruptions don't rattle you, they fuel you
Top-tier people skills - you're just as comfortable chatting with a new hire as you are with a VP
A knack for spotting problems before they become fires (and calmly putting them out)
Elite organizational superpowers to keep ever-changing priorities in check

The Fine Print

2 years post-secondary in Business Admin or HR (or equivalent experience - we're flexible)
1+ year in a similar role

Why Phantom Screens?

Because we believe in making life better - for our customers and our team. You'll be a key player in an organization that actually practices what it preaches: Truth, Excellence, Service, and Stewardship aren't just buzzwords here - they're how we roll.

Ready to be the glue that holds Employee Experience together (minus the sticky mess)? Apply now and let's make some magic happen! ✨

Phantom Screens is an equal opportunity employer, and we are committed to welcoming all individuals; from diverse backgrounds with diverse perspectives. However, we will only be reaching out to those candidates who are moving forward in the recruitment process. If you have previously applied and haven’t heard back from us, we encourage you to gain additional skills and continue to apply.

Compensation: $60,000–$70,000 per year.

This range reflects our current expectation for the role. If your experience or skills place you outside this range, we still encourage you to apply - we value the right fit above all.
