Rida’s Pharmacy is an independently owned community pharmacy located in Marathon, Ontario. We are looking for a dedicated pharmacist to join our team on a full-time or stable part-time basis. We are particularly interested in a pharmacist who is looking for consistent, ongoing part-time hours and wants to become a valued, long-term member of our pharmacy team.
As an independent pharmacy, we provide a broad range of clinical and community-based pharmacy services, including pharmacist prescribing, minor ailment management, medication reviews, compliance packaging, compounding, and after-hours support. We pride ourselves on providing personalized, patient-centered care and building strong relationships within our rural community.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Review and dispense prescriptions in accordance with professional standards and legislation
- Assess patients and provide appropriate pharmacist prescribing and minor ailment services
- Conduct medication reviews and identify drug therapy problems
- Provide counselling and education to patients regarding medications and health conditions
- Support compliance packaging and medication management services
- Participate in compounding and other specialized pharmacy services as required
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, other healthcare professionals, patients and caregivers
- Monitor and manage controlled substances and other medications in accordance with applicable requirements
- Maintain accurate patient records and appropriate documentation
- Assist with day-to-day pharmacy operations and contribute to a positive team environment
- Provide coverage for pharmacy operations during scheduled shifts and assist with occasional additional coverage when required
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
- Licensed and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
- Strong clinical knowledge and sound professional judgment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient-centred approach with a strong commitment to rural community healthcare
- Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a small team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Comfortable communicating with patients, caregivers and other healthcare professionals
- Professional, dependable and reliable
- Willingness to learn and participate in the broad range of services offered by an independent community pharmacy
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and professional standards
Required Experience
- Current registration as a pharmacist with the Ontario College of Pharmacists is required.
- Community pharmacy experience is preferred. Experience with pharmacist prescribing, medication reviews, compliance packaging, compounding, or other clinical pharmacy services is an asset but not required.
- New graduates and pharmacists with experience in other practice settings who are interested in rural community pharmacy are welcome to apply. Training and support can be provided for appropriate candidates.
