Role Summary

The Human Resources Specialist plays an important role in supporting the day-to-day delivery of Human Resources programs, processes, and initiatives across the organization. This position supports a broad range of HR activities, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, employee records, policy administration, and HR compliance.

Serving as a key resource for employees and managers, the HR Specialist provides guidance on HR policies, programs, and processes, helps ensure consistent HR practices, and supports the resolution of routine employee-related matters. The position works independently on assigned responsibilities while partnering with HR leadership on more complex or sensitive employee relations and organizational matters.

This is a hybrid position requiring regular onsite presence at the Dorval office approximately 3 days per week.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

· Coordinate full-cycle recruitment for assigned positions, including job postings, resume screening, interview coordination, reference checks, candidate communication, and partnership with hiring managers.

· Coordinate the onboarding process for new employees, including orientation, required documentation, HRIS activities, and employee integration.

· Serve as a key HR resource for employees and managers by providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, benefits, payroll-related questions, and general HR matters.

· Support employee relations matters, including workplace concerns, conflict resolution, attendance, performance concerns, organizational changes, and other employee-related issues, escalating complex or sensitive matters to HR leadership as appropriate.

· Coordinate and support performance management activities, including performance reviews, performance improvement documentation, employee development plans, and related follow-up.

· Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation in accordance with company policies, established practices, and applicable legal requirements.

· Administer employee benefit processes, including enrollments, employee changes, communications, and routine employee inquiries.

· Support annual compensation review activities, including preparation and review of employee information and related documentation.

· Support the development, implementation, and ongoing administration of HR policies, procedures, and programs.

· Maintain knowledge of applicable employment legislation and HR best practices and support compliance with applicable requirements, including CNESST and WSIB.

· Prepare HR reports, employee communications, employment verification letters, and other HR documentation as required.

· Contribute to HR initiatives and projects focused on employee engagement, organizational programs, and continuous improvement of HR processes and the employee experience.

· Maintain a high level of confidentiality, professionalism, and sound judgment when handling employee and organizational information.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience & Competencies Required

·Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

· Minimum of three (3) years of progressive Human Resources experience in an HR Specialist, HR Generalist, or similar role.

· Working knowledge of applicable employment legislation and HR practices in Quebec and Ontario.

· Experience supporting core HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and HR administration.

· Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and exercise sound judgment when handling confidential matters.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office, HRIS systems, recruitment platforms, and AI-enabled tools to support efficiency, research, communication, and HR processes.

French and English required to be able to communicate with our employees who work at our locations in and outside of Quebec
