  • Demonstrated experience with Building Envelope systems (mandatory requirement)
  • Demonstrated experience with prefabricated (Prefab) construction/components (mandatory requirement)
  • Strong experience with civil and structural projects.
  • Experience reviewing engineering designs, drawings, specifications, calculations, and other technical deliverables prepared by engineering consultants.
  • Strong understanding of constructability and demonstrated ability to assess whether engineering designs can be practically constructed.
  • Experience coordinating and managing engineering consultants and multidisciplinary project stakeholders.

  • Experience supporting engineering packages through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
  • Knowledge of applicable building codes, engineering standards, construction regulations, and other relevant codes and regulations.
  • Experience with CAD software, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, Navisworks, or other relevant engineering software.
  • Knowledge of construction regulations; familiarity with mining regulations is an asset but not required.
  • Knowledge of the Ontario OH&S Act and applicable regulations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Support the execution of the capital projects portfolio by providing civil and structural discipline support across engineering, procurement, and construction.
  • Take ownership of assigned civil engineering packages, including design coordination, documentation, and coordination with multiple stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the day-to-day activities of engineering consultants and manage engineering deliverables for assigned packages.
  • Review consultants' civil and structural engineering designs, drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation.
  • Participate in constructability reviews and assess whether proposed designs are practical and constructable.
  • Identify design or constructability concerns and coordinate with engineering consultants to resolve technical issues.
  • Prepare and develop Scopes of Work (SOW) for assigned engineering and construction packages.
  • Support work package execution across project phases, including feasibility, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
  • Coordinate interfaces between civil works and other disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, process, and environmental.
  • Coordinate with multiple internal and external project stakeholders throughout engineering and project execution.
  • Work closely with the Senior Civil Projects Engineering Lead on technical issues, design decisions, and roadblocks associated with assigned packages.
  • Ensure engineering deliverables comply with applicable codes, standards, regulations, project requirements, and internal engineering practices.
  • Provide civil/structural technical support to the construction team and assist in resolving field engineering and constructability issues during execution.
  • Support the development and maintenance of scope definitions, work breakdown structures (WBS), schedules, and execution plans for assigned packages.
  • Support the development of project estimates and preparation and submission of Applications for Expenditures (AFEs).
  • Collaborate with the procurement group on scopes of work, tenders, technical bid evaluations, contractor selection, and contract administration.
