Automotive Technician & Apprentice Mechanic

AutoLab Pickering – Pickering, ON

$20–$45 per hour | Hourly or Flat Rate | Full-Time

AutoLab Pickering is growing and we are currently hiring two automotive technicians to join our service department:

• 1 Licensed 310S Automotive Service Technician

• 1 Automotive Apprentice

We are a busy independent dealership and full-service automotive repair facility with consistent work across retail service, diagnostics, used-car reconditioning, maintenance, and mechanical repairs.

We’re looking for people who work efficiently, diagnose accurately, and take pride in doing quality work.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical concerns

• Perform brakes, suspension, steering, cooling system, engine, drivetrain, and general repairs

• Perform maintenance services and inspections

• Complete used-vehicle reconditioning and safety-related repairs

• Use scan tools and diagnostic equipment

• Document vehicle findings and completed repairs clearly

• Work closely with the shop foreman and service department

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Licensed Technician Requirements

• Valid Ontario 310S licence

• Strong mechanical and diagnostic ability

• Ability to work independently

• Experience with a wide variety of makes and models

• Valid Ontario driver’s licence

• Reliable, organized, and productive

Apprentice Requirements

• Registered automotive apprentice preferred

• Previous shop experience is an asset

• Strong willingness to learn and improve

• Basic automotive repair knowledge

• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

• Valid Ontario driver’s licence

Compensation

$20–$45 per hour, depending on experience, qualifications, and productivity.

We are open to either:

• Hourly pay

• Flat-rate pay

The compensation structure can be discussed based on the technician’s experience and preferred way of working.
