Pier 4 is a Real Estate Investment Trust focused on the acquisition and management of multi-family residential properties. Our portfolio spans three provinces and is driven by a passion for real estate, a commitment to excellence, and years of industry experience.

We have been recognized by The Global and Mail’s Report on Business as one of Canada’s Top Growing Companies in both 2024 and 2025. As a certified Great Place to Work ®. We are committed to fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and innovative workplace where our people can thrive and contribute to our continued success.

Bring New Life to the Places People Call Home

At Pier 4, we believe that well-maintained and beautifully presented properties create exceptional living experiences. As our portfolio of residential communities continues to grow across Southwestern Ontario, we are looking for a skilled and motivated Painter to join our team.

This is an opportunity to make a visible impact every day by enhancing the appearance, quality, and value of our communities. If you take pride in craftsmanship, enjoy working independently, and have a keen eye for detail, you'll thrive in this hands-on role.

Working closely with our Renovations Lead, you'll contribute to the ongoing upkeep and revitalization of our properties, helping ensure residents are proud to call our communities home. In return, you'll join a growing organization that values quality work, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Complete interior and exterior painting projects across residential properties, ensuring a high-quality finish that enhances property appearance and resident satisfaction.
Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, scraping, patching, cleaning, and removing old paint as required.
Apply paints, primers, and protective coatings to preserve building surfaces and safeguard against water damage, mold, and water.
Perform general aesthetic maintenance and touch-ups to support the overall condition and curb appeal of the portfolio.
Collaborate with our Renovations Lead to prioritize work, address property needs, and maintain high operating standards.
Manage painting materials, equipment, and inventory efficiency while identifying opportunities to reduce supply and operating costs.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe workspaces, ensuring proper cleanup and disposal of materials following each project.
Available for on-call duties, evenings and weekends. Hours may change based on operational needs.

Crucial Knowledge & Skills

Strong painting skills with experience preparing, repairing, and finishing a variety of surfaces.
Knowledge of paints, primers, coatings, and common painting tools and equipment.
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Professional communication and customer service skills.
Ability to safely work at heights and lift up to 50 lbs.
Understanding of workplace health and safety practices and the ability to maintain safe work environment.

Education & Experience Required

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of professional painting experience.
Commercial painting experience is required.
Experience with exterior building painting, balcony painting, line painting, and low-rise residential properties.
Comfortable working at heights and using ladders and related equipment safely.
Eligible to work in Canada and successfully pass a criminal background check.
Valid Ontario Class G Drivers License and access to a reliable vehicle.
Knowledge of Ontario Residential Tenancies legislation and landlord/tenant responsibilities considered an asset.
Demonstrated alignment with Pier 4's core values: Professionalism, Integrity, Excellence, and Respect.

Additional Details:

Competitive Salary Range: $40,000-60,000
Location: London, Ontario.
Comprehensive Total Rewards Package: Competitive compensation and benefits program.
Extended Long Weekends: Enjoy regular 4-day long weekends throughout the year on every statutory holiday.
Company Culture: Frequent team-building activities, social events, and employee celebrations.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

At Pier 4, we believe that diverse perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds strengthen our team and drive better outcomes. We are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where all employees feel respected, valued, and empowered to contribute their unique talents.

We are committed to ensuring a fair, accessible, and transparent recruitment process. Accommodations are available upon request throughout all stages of the hiring process for candidates who require them.

Our Hiring Commitment

We believe that hiring decisions should be based on meaningful human interactions and a thorough evaluation of each candidate’s skills, experience, and potential.
