Original job description

English section of this bilingual listing.

Pivot is building the financial and operational backbone for restaurants in Quebec. More than 700 restaurants already use Pivot to run scheduling, time tracking, payroll and labour cost management from one platform.

Most restaurant operators still run their business on spreadsheets, guesswork and late nights doing payroll. Pivot changes that. We integrate directly with the tools operators already use (POS systems like Maitre D and Veloce, reservation platforms like OpentTable, and payroll providers like Employeur D) to give owners a clear, real-time view of their labour costs and the time back to focus on their guests.

We are specialized for Quebec restaurants, and we are growing fast. Over the next 6 months, we are planning to open new markets. This hire is a key part of how we win Quebec and build the outbound engine that takes Pivot into those new markets.

The Role

This is a 100% outbound Sales Development Representative role. There are no inbound leads handed to you. You will generate pipeline by prospecting restaurant owners, general managers and operators across Quebec through cold calls, email and social selling, then book qualified meetings for our sales team.

You will be one of the first people shaping how Pivot sells. We are a startup, so processes are still being built, and you will help build them. With new markets on the horizon, the playbook you help create in Quebec will shape how we sell in every new market.

Location: Montréal, QC (hybrid)
Reports to: Lead SDR
Type: Full-time

What You'll Do

Prospect restaurant owners, GMs and operators across Quebec through high-volume cold calling, email and LinkedIn outreach.
Book qualified discovery meetings and demos for the sales team, and hit weekly and monthly meeting targets.
Research accounts to understand each restaurant's setup (POS, payroll, staff size, current tools) before reaching out.
Run outreach in both French and English, adapting your pitch to each operator.
Handle objections and turn early "not interested" responses into real conversations.
Keep HubSpot accurate and up to date: every call, email, note and next step logged.
Work closely with sales and leadership to test messaging, refine target lists and improve the outbound playbook.
Share what you hear from operators so it informs our product and go-to-market.

What We're Looking For

Experience in outbound sales or sales development (SDR/BDR), including cold calling and booking qualified meetings.
Experience working in or with restaurant operators in Quebec.
Bilingual communication skills in French and English, spoken and written.
Experience in a startup or similarly fast-changing, ambiguous environment.
Experience using HubSpot or a similar CRM, with strong data hygiene habits.

Who Thrives Here

You'd rather make 50 calls and hear 49 no's than not pick up the phone.
You're competitive, coachable and hungry to grow fast.
You're comfortable without a fully written playbook and enjoy helping build one.
You understand how restaurants actually run, and operators trust you because of it.
You own your numbers and don't accept average.

What We Offer

$50K base salary plus $30K in commission, for an OTE of $80K.
[Benefits: health, dental, vacation, etc.]
A clear path to grow into an Account Executive or sales leadership role.
Real ownership: you'll help shape Pivot's outbound motion from the ground up.
A product restaurant operators genuinely need, already trusted by 1,000+ restaurants.
A small, driven team that celebrates wins and moves fast.

How to Apply

Apply here or send your resume to brandon@pivotapp.ca. Tell us, in French or English, about a time you turned a cold call into a meeting.
