SAP Financial Consultant

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP Finance Functional Consultant to support the rollout of a global SAP S/4HANA Core Model within a local subsidiary. The consultant will act as the primary functional interface between the central implementation team and local business stakeholders, ensuring that finance processes, local regulatory requirements, and business needs are properly addressed.

This is a business-facing functional role focused on rollout coordination, requirements analysis, testing, master data, and end-user support. SAP configuration and development are not required.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the end-to-end SAP S/4HANA rollout, including onboarding, Fit-to-Core, UAT, go-live, and hypercare.
• Conduct local Fit-Gap assessments and identify differences between local business processes and the global Core Model.
• Identify and communicate local legal, tax, and regulatory requirements to the central implementation team.
• Facilitate workshops and interviews with finance stakeholders and key users.
• Assess local business processes, operational requirements, and organizational readiness.
• Prepare and execute UAT activities, including test scenarios, test data, defect follow-up, and business validation.
• Coordinate master data collection, cleansing, enrichment, and validation, supporting data migration rehearsals and mock runs.
• Support end-user training, change management, go-live readiness, and post-implementation stabilization.
• Serve as the local AMOA (business-side project support) and primary point of contact for local finance stakeholders and the central SAP team.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA implementation projects, particularly in Finance.
• Strong hands-on functional knowledge of SAP FI, with some exposure to SAP CO.
• Experience with SAP rollout, localization, or multi-country implementation projects.
• Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) and finance data migration activities.
• Experience with Fit-Gap analysis, UAT, business workshops, and end-user support.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including engagement with senior business leaders.
• Fluent in both French and English.
• Highly autonomous, flexible, and willing to travel regularly and work on-site near Montreal for extended periods.
