About PixMob

PixMob creates magical experiences for live events around the world ✨. You might have seen 60,000 fans light up at the Super Bowl or at a Coldplay concert. Our mission? To spark joy and unforgettable memories for every fan.

We work with international artists, event organizers, sports teams, and brands to make every event extra special. At PixMob, innovation and design are in our DNA. From rapid prototyping to mass manufacturing, we craft cutting-edge wireless tech right at our Montreal HQ. And we care about the planet 🌱 - we fight single-use plastics and use recycled or compostable materials wherever we can.

We’re looking for a Shop Technician (6-Month Replacement Contract)

Role Summary

This role requires advanced technical expertise to diagnose and resolve complex issues, such as repairing electronic boards (PCBs) or analyzing equipment failures.

Main Responsibilities

Assemble and test electronic equipment according to established procedures.
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues, including PCB board repairs.
Perform advanced repairs to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
Build new rental equipment and components.
Perform maintenance on rental equipment following events.
Participate in new product development and propose cost-effective, efficient maintenance solutions.

Ensure spare parts inventory availability for equipment maintenance.
Maintain an organized, clean, and safe workspace by enforcing shop best practices.
Participate in the annual audit.
Provide occasional technical support on-site by traveling when required.

What we’re looking for

College diploma (DEC) in electronics or equivalent.
2 to 4 years of experience in electronic repair, assembly, testing, and maintenance.
Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing complex electronic equipment.
Strong knowledge of measuring and testing instruments.
Rigorous execution, adherence to procedures, and strong analytical / problem-solving skills.
Availability to travel occasionally for technical support.

Languages & Inclusivity

You’ll need to be fluent in English (written & spoken), as day-to-day work involves international collaborators - US, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and more.

Inclusivity is at the heart of our culture 💜. We welcome and value candidates of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences. Our job posting uses simplified grammar to make it easier to read across languages and is not intended to exclude or favor any gender.

Join us to help build a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone feels respected and empowered ✨.

Thanks for your interest in PixMob and this role! Only selected candidates will be contacted.
