About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Data Annotator to support the development and improvement of AI and machine learning models. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately labeling, categorizing, and reviewing different types of data while maintaining high quality and consistency.
This role is suitable for an entry to mid-level professional who is interested in AI, machine learning, data quality, and emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Annotate and label datasets according to defined project guidelines and quality standards.
Work with different types of data, including text, images, audio, video, and structured data.
Review and validate existing annotations for accuracy and consistency.
Identify ambiguous, incomplete, or incorrect data and escalate issues when required.
Maintain high levels of accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail.
Follow project-specific annotation guidelines and update work based on feedback.
Perform quality checks on annotated datasets before submission.
Collaborate with data scientists, machine learning engineers, and project managers.
Track daily productivity and meet assigned project deadlines.
Maintain confidentiality and follow data security and privacy requirements.
Provide feedback on annotation guidelines and suggest improvements where appropriate.
Support dataset preparation and quality-control activities for AI/ML projects.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
1–4 years of experience in data annotation, data labeling, data quality, content moderation, QA, or a related role.
Strong attention to detail and ability to identify subtle differences in data.
Good understanding of written and visual information.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and standardized guidelines.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with spreadsheets and data-management tools.
Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with AI/ML datasets or Generative AI projects.
Familiarity with annotation platforms such as Labelbox, Scale AI, CVAT, Label Studio, or similar tools.
Basic understanding of machine learning and AI concepts.
Experience with image, video, text, speech, or NLP annotation.
Basic knowledge of Python, SQL, or data analysis tools is a plus.
Experience performing data-quality audits or annotation reviews.
Previous experience working with large datasets is preferred.
