Back Office Associate

Location: Montreal, QC

Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time

Work arrangement: During probation: 5 days, after that 3 days onsite 2 days remote

We’re looking for an Extended Back Office Associate to join a financial services team supporting post-trade operations across multiple asset classes.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and monitor securities transactions and settlements.
• Investigate and resolve failed trades, settlement breaks, cash discrepancies, and static data issues.
• Troubleshoot transaction-processing and system workflow issues across multiple applications.
• Perform cash and position reconciliations and follow up on outstanding exceptions.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external counterparties to resolve operational issues.
• Support operational controls, reporting, and process improvements.

What We’re Looking For

• Approximately 5+ years of experience in Back Office Operations, Securities Settlements, Capital Markets Operations, or Post-Trade Support.
• Knowledge of securities settlement, reconciliations, and exception management.
• Experience with fixed income, bonds, equities, or other securities products.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Calypso or similar capital markets systems is an asset.
• SWIFT messaging and securities settlement infrastructure experience are considered advantages.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
