Capital Market Associate

Location: Montreal, QC

Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time

Work arrangement: The role will initially require 5 days onsite for the first 3 months, followed by a hybrid schedule of approximately 3 days onsite per week.

About the Role

We are currently looking for a Capital Markets Middle Office Associate to join a growing team in Montreal.

This is a great opportunity for someone with 2–5 years of experience in Capital Markets Operations, Middle Office, Trade Support or Back Office who has a good understanding of financial products and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll be doing

• Support the trade lifecycle from Front Office execution through post-trade processing
• Review trade information and documentation to ensure accuracy and data quality
• Monitor trade bookings and investigate discrepancies or exceptions
• Perform reconciliations across different products and systems
• Work closely with Middle Office, Back Office and other internal teams to resolve breaks
• Support daily processing activities and operational controls
• Identify process improvements and help strengthen operational efficiency

What we're looking for

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in Capital Markets Operations, Middle Office, Trade Support or Back Office
• Good understanding of FX and/or Rates products
• Experience with trade booking, reconciliation, settlement or post-trade processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Comfortable working with high volumes and time-sensitive deadlines
• Ability to learn new products and processes quickly
• Experience with Calypso or similar trading/processing systems is an asset
• Experience with derivatives, swaps, repo or collateral is a plus
• Strong English communication skills
