ABOUT THE ROLE
Planitar is looking for a VP, Finance to lead our finance function through a period of continued growth. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who has operated inside a company with $100M+ in revenue, but who thrives in the scaling-company environment ($50M–$100M).
The ideal candidate is someone comfortable building process and infrastructure rather than simply administering what's already in place. You'll lead a team of 5-8, including a Sr. Manager, Finance and 4-5 Financial Analysts/Billing Specialists, and will be a key partner to the CEO and executive team on financial strategy, M&A, and IFRS based accounting.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own the finance function end-to-end: financial planning & analysis, accounting operations, billing, treasury, and financial reporting.
- Lead and develop a team of 5-8, including direct management of a Sr. Manager, Finance and oversight of 4-5 Financial Analysts/Billing Specialists.
- Drive M&A activity, including deal evaluation, due diligence, structuring support, and post-acquisition financial integration across international entities.
- Design and implement scalable financial processes and controls appropriate for a company moving towards its next growth stage - replacing manual processes with repeatable, integrated systems.
- Lead or support ERP/financial systems implementations (NetSuite experience strongly preferred), improving automation, reporting accuracy, and close efficiency.
- Partner with the CEO and executive team on financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and both parent and board-level reporting.
- Oversee cash flow management, banking relationships, and treasury operations across multiple currencies/jurisdictions as applicable.
- Ensure compliance with tax, statutory, and regulatory requirements across all operating geographies.
- Build out and mature FP&A capabilities to support data-driven decision-making across the business.
- Act as a key advisor to the CEO on capital structure, financing strategy, and long-term financial planning.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, including prior experience at the VP level.
- Direct experience with global M&A; deal evaluation, due diligence, integration, and managing finance across multiple international entities/jurisdictions.
- A track record of designing and implementing financial processes and controls, ideally having taken a finance function through a period of scaling.
- Experience operating inside a company with $100M+ in revenue, combined with genuine comfort operating in a leaner, faster-moving organization in the $50M range - this is not a "run what already exists" role.
- Proven people leadership experience managing teams of 5+ across finance/accounting functions.
- NetSuite implementation or optimization experience strongly preferred; broader ERP design & implementation experience considered.
- CPA (or equivalent) designation preferred.
- Strong communication skills and comfort operating as a direct financial advisor to the CEO/executive team.
- Experience in a technology, SaaS, or hardware-adjacent business is an asset given Planitar's product line.

- The broader organization understands why a timely, accurate close matters, how their own inputs affect it, and how reliable financial information helps drive key business decisions.
- IFRS transition complete with a clean audit opinion and an approved accounting policy manual which is applied across all entities.
