Summary/Overview
|
|
The role is a resource supporting field positions through onboarding, new hire training, and acts as a responsive point of contact for day-to-day HR questions in the field. The position partners closely with leadership to ensure new hires are onboarded smoothly, training and compliance requirements are met, and hourly employees have consistent access to the support they need ensuring success.

Responsibilities and Technical Skills:

- Deliver and track completion of new hire training and ongoing safety training for field and hourly employees
- Train field operators on day-to-day job responsibilities, standard operating procedures, and site-specific work practices, ensuring consistent understanding of role expectations
- Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding for field and hourly positions, including orientation, paperwork completion, and system/badge setup
- Conduct hands-on, in-field training sessions with operators covering equipment operation, job-specific safety procedures, and proper use of PPE
- Develop and maintain operator training materials, checklists, and job aids that reflect current procedures and regulatory requirements
- Evaluate operator competency following training through observation, skills checks, and documented sign-off; identify and coordinate additional coaching or refresher training as needed
- Schedule and deliver recurring refresher and compliance training for operators to reinforce day-to-day procedures and address process or safety updates
- Partner with field supervisors and Team Leaders to identify operator training gaps and tailor training content to specific roles, shifts, and locations
- Serve as the primary front-line point of contact for day-to-day HR questions from field and hourly employees (benefits, policies, timekeeping, etc.)
- Partner with the Safety/EHS team to schedule and coordinate safety meetings, training sessions, and safety-related recordkeeping
- Support recruiting and hiring for field/hourly roles, including scheduling interviews, preparing offer letters, and coordinating pre-employment requirements (drug testing, background checks)
- Maintain accurate employee files, training records, and compliance documentation in line with company policy and applicable regulations
- Assist with employee relations matters at the field level, escalating issues to HR leadership as needed
- Support HR programs and initiatives such as employee recognition, retention, and engagement efforts for field/hourly employees
- Assist with other HR functional areas as needed, including performance management support and policy communication

Required education and experience
|
- 2-4 years of experience in Human Resources, Safety/EHS, or a related field - preferred
- Working knowledge of HR practices and basic safety/compliance regulations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with field and hourly employees at all levels
- Ability to deliver training and communicate clearly to diverse audiences
- Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills and the ability to follow up on documentation as needed
- Ability to carry out assigned tasks to completion with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in MS Office applications - Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; HRIS experience a plus
- Bachelor's or associate degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience

- Prolonged periods standing for instruction on site in the field or office setting
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
