Job Description:

In Montreal, you'll help build the platforms and tools that enable engineering teams to deliver software reliably, securely, and efficiently. If you enjoy solving practical infrastructure problems, improving how teams work, and seeing your changes reach production, this role could be a strong fit.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll contribute to platform engineering initiatives that improve the infrastructure, deployment workflows, and operational tooling used by Plusgrade engineering teams. You'll build, maintain, and improve infrastructure as code, automation, and platform components while supporting CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting across platform and production systems, and the team's on-call rotation. You'll work with software developers and other stakeholders to understand their needs, deliver practical solutions, and share documentation and reusable engineering patterns. With AI integrated into the engineering environment, you'll use it thoughtfully to accelerate exploration, testing, documentation, and delivery without compromising reliability, security, or quality.

The Stack

Kubernetes (EKS) · Docker · AWS · Terraform · Terragrunt · ArgoCD · Helm · GitLab Cloud · Datadog · CloudWatch · Grafana · Splunk Cloud · Bash · Python · Linux Distro · Mac

What You Bring

  • At least three years of hands-on experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Comfort with cloud environments, containers, CI/CD pipelines, modern operational tooling, infrastructure as code, and automation.
  • A practical problem-solving mindset, technical curiosity, and the autonomy to improve a platform and enable software developers.
  • Clear communication and collaborative habits, with a willingness to learn from peers and more senior engineers.
  • A track record of using AI-assisted development, review, testing, or delivery, or building AI-powered internal tools, while maintaining high standards for reliability, security, and quality.
