Job Description

Software Developer- Fullstack

Join our Subscription team for the Plusgrade Points division, where you will build services that power recurring loyalty subscriptions for global travel partners. The team owns the full lifecycle: enrollment, the recurring billing engine, renewals, pricing configuration, rate changes, promotions, notifications, and the pages members use to sign up and manage their plans. The subscription product has seen over 90% growth year over year and is used by major airlines partners like AFKLM, Qatar Airways, Finnair to name a few. We’re looking for a fullstack developer to own meaningful capabilities in that product end to end, from the proposal to production.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will design, build, and operate reliable services that let members sign up for, manage, and renew subscriptions that deliver loyalty currency and partner perks. Day to day, you’ll work across domain areas such as enrollment, lifecycle management, recurring billing and renewals, rate changes, and notifications collaborating closely with members from product and our architecture group. You will help evolve our Python/Flask services, React frontend, improve observability, test new features and support the domain in production. You’ll leverage and create powerful AI-assisted workflows all part of the SDLC and use modern tools like Claude. The Subscription product is going after bigger growth in 2027 and you will contribute to technical proposals to decide what we build to get there.

The Stack

Python

Flask
Cloudant/CouchDB
REST APIs
Docker
GitLab CI/CD
pytest· React
TypeScript
Splunk/SignalFx

What You Bring

You build maintainable backend systems and robust APIs, with clean code, strong computer science fundamentals, and the ability to reason about complex stateful workflows, data models, and recurring billing logic.
You build, update, and maintain user-facing frontend pages for seamless user experiences.
You hold a high standard for software quality, using unit and integration testing, static analysis, and CI/CD feedback loops to ship reliable features quickly and safely.
You communicate complex technical concepts clearly, making architecture and trade-offs accessible to product, design, partner teams, and fellow developers.
You use AI thoughtfully to improve how your team works, creating repeatable practices that increase delivery speed while preserving code quality, test coverage, and system reliability.
You have a practical understanding of (or strong interest in) subscription products, SaaS business model, recurring billing, payment integrations, stored payment methods, asynchronous callbacks, and the secure handling of payment data.

Why Plusgrade

Travel is about the moments that make a journey feel personal. At Plusgrade, we build the technology that makes those moments possible, from upgrade offers and loyalty experiences to revenue tools used by 575+ airline, hospitality, cruise, rail, and financial services partners worldwide.

The work is global, complex, and rewarding. You will solve meaningful problems, take ownership from idea to outcome, and work alongside people who are smart, curious, and committed to doing great work.

We also give our teams access to AI tools and the encouragement to use them thoughtfully, to move faster, explore ideas, and build better ways of working.

We trust our teams to do their best work. That means autonomy, flexibility, and room to grow.

Come help us shape the future of travel.
