- Review drawings, specifications, addenda, and project documents to develop accurate quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
- Coordinate pricing and quotations from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.
- Prepare tender forms, proposals, and bid submissions while maintaining organized project documentation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and industry partners.
- Conduct site visits as required to better understand project scope and site conditions.
- Monitor tender opportunities and support business development efforts by identifying promising projects.
- Coordinate the handover of awarded projects to the project management team.
- Maintain historical cost, unit pricing, and estimating databases to support future bids.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support PMco's commitment to safety and operational excellence.
What will help you thrive:
- Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 2+ years of estimating experience within commercial construction or a related industry.
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and estimating practices.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365; experience with Bluebeam, PlanSwift, SmartBidNet, or similar estimating software is considered an asset.
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Alignment with PMco’s core values: Synergy, Commitment, and Thriving Culture
