Original job description

Drive Your Career Forward With an Industry Leader

Forget the long hauls and the weeks away from home. At PODS, we offer the stability of a national brand with the lifestyle of a local career.

Our drivers are more than just delivery experts - they are the face of our brand. You aren't just hauling freight; you’re helping people navigate some of the biggest transitions of their lives.

As a PODS Driver, you’ll safely deliver and pick up PODS containers, interact directly with customers, and ensure every delivery is completed professionally, efficiently, and incident-free. If you take pride in your driving, love interacting with customers, and want a career that gets you home every night, you belong behind the wheel at PODS.

What You’ll Do

Safely operate a commercial truck equipped with our unique lift mechanism to load and unload containers in residential and business settings.
Complete local deliveries and pickups while following provincial, and company safety standards.
Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections to keep your truck - and yourself - safe and keep truck cab and equipment clean and inspection-ready.
Use company-provided handheld devices for navigation, delivery confirmation, and communication.
Act as our brand ambassador. You’ll answer questions, solve placement puzzles, and ensure every container is clean and presentable.
When you aren't on the road, you'll help with storage centre functions, forklift operation, and light container maintenance to keep the operation humming.

What You Bring (Qualifications)

The Credentials: A valid DZ or AZ licence and high school diploma (or equivalent) are required. You must also be at least 21 years old and be able to pass the required Medical required for your licence.
Experience: You bring a minimum of 3 months of professional driving experience.
A Clean Slate: You have a safety-first “zero-incident” mindset with no moving violations in the past three years.
Spatial Mastery: You have a strong sense of spatial relations - you can park a vehicle and negotiate tight residential spaces with ease.
Physical Stamina: You’re comfortable climbing in and out of the cab (using three points of contact), operating a forklift, and occasionally lifting up to 50 lbs. or applying up to 40 lbs. of pressure for equipment operation. You also can work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Customer Focused: You understand customer needs and make service excellence a priority.
Communication & Logic: You possess strong basic math skills and can read, write and communicate clearly in English.

Why You’ll Love Working at PODS

Home Daily: No over-the-road (OTR) requirements. You stay within your local territory.
A Solid Schedule: You’ll have one scheduled day off during the week, plus every Sunday.
Safety-First Culture: Your well-being always comes first.

Full Benefits: Competitive pay, RRSP with match, paid time off, and comprehensive health insurance. We've got you covered with a boot voucher and company uniforms.

Compensation & Perks

Base Pay + Overtime: Regular opportunities for OT to boost your take-home pay.
Bonuses: Eligible for performance-based incentives.
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and RRSP Match Programs.

Ready to Join a Team That Delivers More?

If you’re a professional driver who values safety, integrity, and customer service, we want to see you in a PODS uniform.

COMPENSATION

Our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our company's size and industry and are one part of the total compensation package that also includes incentives, benefits, and other opportunities at PODS.

Pay Range: $22.50-$23.50
