  • Perform detailed quantity take-offs and validate the accuracy of information used in preparing estimates.
  • Develop project costs, including labour, materials, equipment, subcontractors, indirect costs, contingencies, administration, and profit.
  • Analyze supplier and subcontractor quotations and participate in bid closing activities and estimate compilation.
  • Assess project risks, opportunities, and constraints, and recommend appropriate mitigation and optimization strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including BIM, procurement, legal, planning, and methods groups, to develop realistic and effective execution strategies.
  • Explore innovative solutions and alternative scenarios to optimize project costs, construction methods, and overall project value.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business partners, consultants, suppliers, clients, and other project stakeholders.
  • Act as a resource within the team by sharing knowledge and promoting industry best practices.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, sound judgment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency with estimating software and the Microsoft Office Suite, along with a strong interest in digital tools and innovation.
