- Plan and coordinate the movement, positioning, and relocation of heavy equipment, including interfaces with lifting, rigging, temporary works, marine operations, and site logistics.
- Develop and maintain mechanical work packages, look-aheads, sequencing, and readiness plans.
- Coordinate mechanical subcontractors and specialized suppliers, particularly those supporting machining, welding, mechanical assembly, lifting, and equipment movement.
- Track engineering deliverables, drawings, RFIs, procedures, ITPs, material availability, equipment requirements, and outstanding technical issues.
- Coordinate interfaces between the mechanical scope and structural steel, temporary works, survey, marine operations, lifting/rigging, welding, and engineering.
- Ensure each activity is construction-ready before mobilization, including approved documentation, materials, equipment, access, manpower, inspections, and prerequisites.
- Monitor field progress and constraints and provide clear daily/weekly look-ahead and priority reporting to the Construction Manager.
- Identify and document scope changes, additional work, delays, productivity impacts, and subcontractor/client constraints affecting the mechanical work front.
- Act as the day-to-day focal point for mechanical execution, allowing the Construction Manager to maintain overall control of the FST scope and multidisciplinary interfaces.
