As a VDC Coordinator working in our Innovation team at Pomerleau Construction, you will play a key role in inventing the future of design and construction by supporting and enabling project teams to thrive with state-of-the-art BIM/VDC tools and methods. Working on large-scale building and infrastructure projects – ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion, you will explore and support project growth and execution through BIM (Building Information Modelling) and VDC (Virtual Design and Construction).

Working on large-scale building and infrastructure projects – ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion, you will explore and support project growth and execution through BIM (Building Information Modelling) and VDC (Virtual Design and Construction).
What You Will Do
- Produce and manage VDC and contract documentation.
- Develop protocols for key elements such as communication, data exchange, and the 3D workspace;
- Collaborate with designers and trades to draft and review BIM management plans and BIM execution plans;
- Participate in creating project-specific terminology for contracts and tenders as part of the BIM bidding process;
- Train your team in the use of Revit, Navisworks, and Autodesk Construction Cloud;
- Creatively design 4D simulations that allow users to experience their project in virtual and augmented reality;
- A bachelor's degree in construction engineering or civil engineering, or a technical diploma in civil engineering, mechanical engineering, architecture, or equivalent experience;
- At least 1-3 years of BIM experience in the construction or architectural industry.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of BIM experience in the construction or architecture industry.
- Mastery of ISO 19650 and experience working with BIM software, including REVIT, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Infraworks, Tekla, 3Ds Max, Autodesk Cloud Construction suite, will be considered an asset.

Responsibilities
Produce and manage VDC and contract documentation, and support project teams in implementing BIM/VDC processes, protocols, and data exchange practices. Collaborate with designers and trades on BIM plans and tender requirements, train teams on BIM software, and create 4D simulations using virtual and augmented reality.
Requirements
Candidates need a bachelor's degree in construction or civil engineering, a relevant technical diploma, or equivalent experience, along with 1–3 years of BIM experience in construction or architecture. Knowledge of ISO 19650, BIM software, and building mechanics and construction is valued.
