Summary
Join the Fort St. John (FSJ) Chances Casino team. FSJ is the largest city in the Northeast Region of BC, situated on the Alaska Highway; its population is 21,000. It offers a great variety of cultural, leisure, and outdoor experiences.
FSJ is a resourced-based community with oil, natural gas, forestry, and agriculture. The average age of residents is 8.8 years younger than the average population. The median housing price is $419,000 - the average length of commute time to work is ten minutes.
As a Banquet Server, you have the authority to exceed guest expectations by creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that coincides with our “we’ve been expecting you” sense of arrival for our guests. Your role is crucial because you are pivotal in the guest’s impression of quality service throughout our hotel. From setting up and executing events to the breakdown of the room so that events can happen again the next day – or even the next hour, you are an essential member of the Food & Beverage Team.
Duties And Responsibilities
This position may work dayshift, afternoon, or evening shift any day of the week or weekend with long days to meet periodic upturns in business demands or meet deadlines. This position is set in a fast-paced and, at times, high-pressure environment that requires continuous physical movement, the ability to lift up to 30 lbs., and the ability to manage multiple sequences and demands. There may be periods of independent work and changes in temperature from the back to the front of the house.
