As a Laundry Attendant, you have the authority to exceed guest expectations by creating “picture-perfect” guest linens. Your role is crucial because you are pivotal in the guest’s first impression of the hotel. The cleanliness and comfort of a hotel are often tied to the cleanliness, condition, and softness of the bath and bed linen; this is vital to each guest’s overall satisfaction.

This position may work long days and/or weekends to meet periodic upturns in business demands or meet deadlines. This position is set in a fast-paced environment, that requires continuous physical movement and the ability to manage multiple sequences and demands. This position will require periods of independent work and the ability to lift up to 30 lbs.

- Ensures the guest linens, public areas, and storage areas are “picture-perfect” for optimal first impressions.
- Prepares for shift starts with a well-organized and stocked laundry room, including par stocks of cleaning and laundry chemicals, tidy storage, dust-free surfaces, sparkling floors, and no linen on the floor.
- Tracks maintenance and repairs on laundering equipment and keeps an updated inventory of laundry supplies.
- Respects guest property and privacy; adheres to lost and found procedures on all items found in guest rooms and public areas.
- Understands and practices all emergency procedures for the hotel.
- Previous experience in housekeeping, laundry, or in a hotel is an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and pride in a job done well.

Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain guest linens, laundry rooms, storage areas, and public areas to high cleanliness and presentation standards. Respond professionally to guest concerns, track laundry supplies and equipment maintenance, follow lost-and-found procedures, and understand hotel emergency procedures.
Requirements
Previous experience in housekeeping, laundry, or a hotel is an asset, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills. The role requires attention to detail, physical movement, the ability to lift up to 30 pounds, and flexibility to work long days or weekends when business demands require it.
