Ottawa, ON

We're Hiring: Junior Research & Design Associate | Ottawa, ON

Are you an engineer who loves figuring out how things work and how to make them better?

At CleanPlanet Chemical, we're doing things differently. We're developing technology that helps recover and reuse solvents, and we're looking for a Junior Research & Design (R&D) Associate to join our team in Ottawa and help us continue to innovate.

This is a hands-on role where you'll get to design, build, test, troubleshoot and improve real equipment and processes. You'll work alongside experienced engineers and collaborate across R&D, Quality Control, Manufacturing and Operations, gaining exposure to mechanical, electrical, chemical and process engineering along the way.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Designing and developing new equipment and prototypes
  • Testing and troubleshooting systems and components
  • Supporting continuous improvement and process development
  • Turning ideas into practical, working solutions
  • Working with teams across the business to solve real-world problems

We're looking for someone who is curious, hands-on and eager to learn. Someone who enjoys solving problems, isn't afraid to get involved and wants to see their ideas turn into something tangible.

You don't need to have years of experience. If you're a recent engineering graduate or have 0–3 years of experience and are ready to learn, we'd love to hear from you.
