Job Summary
Reporting to the Manager, Line Maintenance YYZ, this position will provide support in the following areas below.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Work closely with Embraer In Service Engineering and Technical Support in requesting structural repair instructions, repair drawings, and engineering assistance for the E195 E2 fleet.
- Coordinate with Embraer Engineering to assess structural damage and determine appropriate repair solutions in accordance with approved technical data.
- Review and interpret Embraer Structural Repair Manuals (SRM), Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM), and other applicable technical publications to support structural repairs.
- Provide recommendations and technical feedback to Embraer Engineering when repair drawings or instructions require clarification or amendment.
- Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of structural repairs on the Embraer E195 E2 fleet, including repairs requiring specialized tooling, materials, or external support.
- Maintain accurate records of structural damage, repairs, and associated inspections for both the Embraer E195-E2 and Bombardier Q400 fleets.
- Monitor structural repair limitations, recurring inspection requirements, and repair thresholds to ensure continued airworthiness and regulatory compliance.
- Liaise with Embraer, third-party repair organizations, and internal maintenance teams to coordinate complex structural repairs and minimize aircraft downtime.
- Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy

Qualifications
- A college diploma in aircraft maintenance from a Transport Canada approved educational facility with accreditation
- Must possess Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License, CAT S
- Must have a thorough knowledge of the SRM
- High degree of accuracy
- Strong analytical personality
- Good working knowledge with Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to travel on short notice
