Make an Impact at Post Consumer Brands

At Post Consumer Brands, we believe great brands are built by people who understand consumers, see opportunities others may miss, and know how to turn insights into action.

We’re looking for a Brand Manager to join our Canadian Marketing team in Toronto. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, you will take ownership of an assigned brand portfolio and help shape the strategies, innovation, and marketing programs that drive growth.

This is more than a traditional marketing role. You’ll have the opportunity to think like a general manager of your brands, balancing consumer needs, brand strategy, innovation, financial performance, and commercial execution. You’ll collaborate across Sales, Finance, Operations, Consumer Insights, Research & Development and agency partners to bring ideas from insight through commercialization and into market.

If you’re a strategic CPG marketer who loves building brands while also digging into the business behind them, this could be a great next step.

What You’ll Do

Own the Brand Strategy & Business Plan

  • Lead the development and execution of annual business and marketing plans designed to achieve revenue, profit, market share and brand objectives.
  • Translate consumer, category and business insights into clear strategies and commercial actions.
  • Identify growth opportunities and help shape the future direction of your portfolio.

Drive Innovation & Commercialization

  • Lead product commercialization from opportunity identification through launch.
  • Partner closely with Consumer Insights, Research & Development, Operations, Finance and Sales to bring consumer-relevant products and initiatives to market.
  • Ensure new products have compelling positioning and clear plans for successful commercialization.

Understand the Consumer & Marketplace

  • Leverage consumer research and syndicated market data to understand changing consumer needs, category dynamics and growth opportunities.
  • Define and deepen understanding of target consumers and translate insights into meaningful brand actions.
  • Use data and insights to strengthen household penetration, market share and brand performance.

Build Brands Consumers Choose

  • Partner with agency teams to develop compelling consumer communications and integrated marketing programs across multiple media channels.
  • Guide product positioning, launches, brand-building initiatives, advertising and related communications.
  • Evaluate marketing effectiveness and continually look for ways to improve the impact of investments.

Lead the Business Behind the Brand

  • Manage marketing budgets and evaluate investment decisions through both a brand and financial lens.
  • Assess the revenue, profit and share implications of key business decisions.
  • Bring strong business judgment to recommendations and help ensure marketing strategies deliver against the overall business plan.

Qualifications

What You Bring

  • 3–5 years of Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) marketing experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing or a related field
  • MBA is an asset
  • Strong understanding of brand management, consumer insights and commercialization
  • Demonstrated financial and analytical capabilities, including budget management and evaluating business opportunities
  • Experience using consumer research and syndicated data to inform decisions
  • Ability to work collaboratively and influence across Sales, Finance, Operations, R&D, Consumer Insights and other functions
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strategic mindset combined with a willingness to roll up your sleeves and execute
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
  • Ability to travel approximately 5–10%

Working Location

Toronto, Ontario | Hybrid

This position is based in our Toronto office. Our typical hybrid schedule includes three days in the office, with flexibility to work remotely up to two days per week.

Why Post Consumer Brands?

This role offers the opportunity to build more than marketing experience. You’ll gain broad exposure to the business while developing skills across brand strategy, innovation, commercialization, consumer insights and financial management.

You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with talented colleagues across functions, take meaningful ownership of your portfolio, and help shape the next chapter of our brands in Canada.

If you’re ready to combine your passion for consumers with strong business thinking and turn great insights into brands and products that win, we’d love to hear from you.
