Merchandiser:

The Merchandiser is responsible for merchandising stores according to planograms and specific requirements of a retail chain. The company merchandises products across Canada.

Requirements:

• Previous merchandising and/or retail experience is an asset.
• Comfortable with the Microsoft PC environment.
• Access to a smartphone and computer with internet.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Highly comfortable with multitasking.
• Detail-oriented.
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
• Able to work within time constraints.

Summary of Responsibilities:

100% Merchandise Products

• Merchandises magazines, books, and/or consumer packaged goods. Generally 10% of time is spent coordinating to get product on the floor from receiving, 70% merchandising, and 20% preparing off-sale product returns.
• Work under the guidance of and take direction from Merchandising Supervisor.
• Merchandise stores according to the specific retail chain’s requirements and planograms, as provided.
• Ensures the current directive is followed.
• Check company email frequently, as well as get all program details from the company’s website, in the secured area for Merchandisers.
• When unsure of direction, ask Supervisor.
• Provide timely feedback to Merchandising Supervisor regarding any problems encountered or fast-selling product.
• Flexibility to respond to last-minute requests.
• Pleasant and professional disposition.
• While on the job: Must be neat and tidy in appearance, with no open shoes, sweaters, shorts, or skirts. Cannot wear earbuds or headphones while working.
• Adheres to all deadlines, with 100% compliance.

Goals & Objectives:

• Fully work each assigned store, typically the same day of a delivery or the morning after, noting there is always a set delivery day, generally with a weekly frequency.
• Get all freshly delivered product on displays each visit.
• Prepare return of off-sale product or excess quantities.
• Advise Supervisor of any issues or changes at a store.

Compensation: $18.25/Hour
