Original job description

Company Description

PR Pomeroy Restoration & Construction specializes in the construction, restoration, and maintenance of exterior building envelope systems. We also deliver energy upgrades for a wide range of properties. Much of our work is for non-profit and social housing providers and strata corporations. These projects are delivered in occupied buildings, where tenant communication and careful sequencing matter as much as the trade work itself. As an industry leader, we provide full project delivery tailored to each client, from Construction Management and General Contracting to ongoing maintenance and repair programs. Our projects range from small repair programs to contracts over $10 million. Across all of them, we focus on adaptability, quality workmanship, and client satisfaction.

Role Description

The Project Manager is a full-time role based out of our Coquitlam, BC office, with regular site visits across the Lower Mainland. The role oversees exterior building envelope construction, restoration, and energy upgrade projects of all sizes, from start to finish, and often runs several projects at once.

Day-to-day work includes planning project scope and schedules, coordinating resources, managing PR’s own site crews and subcontractors, and monitoring progress to ensure quality, safety, and budget compliance. The Project Manager is the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and our internal team. They manage RFIs, submittals, consultant field reviews, deficiencies, and project closeout. They also price and manage change orders and resolve site issues quickly to keep projects on track. The role supports procurement and material expediting, coordinates inspections, and contributes to improving how we deliver projects.

Qualifications

  • Project management experience, including planning, scheduling, and overseeing construction projects from start to finish
  • Ability to efficiently and accurately source and price work for change orders
  • Experience reviewing subcontractor quotes against scope and awarding subcontracts
  • Experience with monthly progress claims, holdback, and contract administration under CCDC contracts
  • Knowledge of exterior building envelope systems and general construction practices, including how envelope work ties into structural, mechanical, electrical, and finishing work
  • Experience with procurement and expediting of materials and equipment
  • Ability to verify that work meets the drawings, specifications, and building code, and to schedule consultant and municipal inspections at the right stages
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office
  • Valid BC driver’s licence
