Compensation:
Starting rates at $48,000 - $58,000 a year based on experience, with profit-sharing annual bonus after first full year of employment.
Work Arrangement:
Ideally full-time in-office, however remote work may be considered based on performance and demonstrated time-management skills.
Job:
Praxis Technical Group in Nanaimo is looking for a full-time or part-time Graphic Designer and Animator to help us create eLearning courses and printed training materials on processes, equipment, procedural, operational and safety related topics. You will work with an experienced team of instructional designers, writers, 3D modelers and animators to translate complex information into easily understood and visually engaging eLearning content composed using graphics, animations, photos, videos, and illustrations.
Our clients are among some of the most prominent industrial corporations and we have worked with them in some cases for generations, so we want to deliver great work and they expect nothing but the best from us. We are looking for creative graphic designers and content developers who take pride in their work, can find new and engaging ways to illustrate content, and who are willing to adapt and learn from our team.
Skills Required:
- Experience with video composition and animation, particularly Adobe After Effects and/or Blender.
- Strong graphic design skills using Adobe Illustrator.
- A creative mindset and an eye for visual storytelling.
- The ability to understand and simplify complex processes and subjects.
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
- An openness to constructive feedback and a willingness to learn.
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
- A genuine interest in creating high-quality visual content.
