Original job description

Operations Coordinator

Burford, ON | Full-Time | On-Site

Join a Team That Moves What Others Can't

At Precision Specialized Inc., a proud member of The GTI Group, we transport some of the most challenging and valuable freight across North America and beyond. From over-dimensional equipment to complex project cargo, our team delivers solutions where planning, expertise, and execution matter.

We're looking for an Operations Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to build a career in specialized transportation and logistics. If you're organized, enjoy solving problems, and like being at the center of the action, this role offers an opportunity to work alongside experienced transportation professionals while helping move extraordinary freight safely and efficiently.

What You'll Do

As an Operations Coordinator, you'll play a key role in keeping freight moving and customers informed. Working closely with drivers, dispatchers, customers, and operations leaders, you'll help coordinate transportation activities from planning through delivery.

In this role, you will:

Coordinate freight movements and daily transportation activities.
Assist with load scheduling, dispatching, and resource planning.
Prepare and maintain shipment documentation and operational records.
Monitor load status and provide timely updates to customers and internal teams.
Communicate with drivers to support safe and efficient execution of shipments.
Help resolve service issues and respond to changing operational requirements.
Enter and maintain accurate information within transportation and operational systems.
Support reporting, record keeping, and general administrative activities.
Contribute to a culture focused on safety, accountability, teamwork, and customer service.

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who is organized, proactive, and eager to learn.

Ideal qualifications include:

Strong organizational and coordination skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Experience with transportation, logistics, dispatch, or fleet operations is an asset.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and an ability to quickly learn transportation and fleet management systems.
A diploma, coursework, or practical experience in logistics, transportation, business administration, or a related field is considered an asset.
A positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively with a growing team.

Why Join Precision Specialized?

Work with an award-winning leader in specialized transportation.
Gain exposure to complex freight and project logistics across North America.
Learn from experienced transportation and operations professionals.
Be part of a company that values Safety, Accountability, Respect, Candor, and Teamwork.
Join a growing organization with opportunities for professional development and career advancement.
Make a visible impact by helping coordinate high-profile and challenging freight movements.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive compensation package that will reflect the successful candidate's experience, capabilities, and potential contribution to the organization.
Paid vacation
Company-sponsored training and development
Supportive and team-oriented culture
Opportunities for career growth within The GTI Group

"Why You'll Love Working Here"

Unlike many transportation operations roles, you'll gain exposure to specialized freight, heavy haul projects, route planning, permitting, and complex logistics challenges. Every day brings something different, providing opportunities to learn and develop your transportation career with an experienced and supportive team.

Ready to Build Your Career in Transportation?

If you're looking for an opportunity to grow in the transportation and logistics industry while working with an experienced and supportive team, we'd love to hear from you.
