Senior Solutions Architect
Location: Toronto, ON – Hybrid (3 days onsite/week)
Contract Duration: 6 Months (Extension Possible)
Employment Type: Full-Time Contract
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Architect to design and implement enterprise application architectures in a large, complex IT environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks, application integration, architecture modelling, and solution design.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise application architectures for large-scale, distributed systems.
- Develop current-state (as-is) and future-state (to-be) architecture blueprints.
- Design integration solutions involving APIs, SOA, web services, middleware, and ESB.
- Create architecture models and diagrams using Sparx EA, ArchiMate, UML, or similar tools.
- Ensure application architecture aligns with enterprise standards, security, scalability, and performance requirements.
- Collaborate with development teams, business stakeholders, and technical teams to deliver architecture solutions.
Mandatory Requirements
- 6+ years of experience developing and implementing application architectures.
- Extensive experience in systems analysis and design within large enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of TOGAF ADM (preferred) or Zachman, covering business, information, application, technology, and security architecture domains.
- Hands-on experience with Sparx Enterprise Architect, Archi, or similar tools, including ArchiMate and/or UML modelling in a team environment.
- Strong experience with SOA, APIs, web services, real-time and batch integrations, hub-and-spoke architecture, and ESB implementations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with cloud and on-premises enterprise applications.
- Experience developing enterprise architecture models and technical documentation.
- Knowledge of middleware, API gateways, and distributed systems.
