Original job description

About Us

At Prenuvo, we are on a mission to flip the paradigm from reactive “sick-care” to proactive health care. Our award-winning whole body scan is fast (under 1 hour), safe (MRI has no ionizing radiation), and non-invasive (no contrast). Our unique integrated stack of optimized hardware, software, and increasingly AI, coupled with the patient-centric experience across our domestic and global clinics, have allowed us to lead the change against “we caught it too late again".

We are looking for a Critical Projects Lead to drive high-impact, cross-functional initiatives that are core to our company’s growth and strategic direction. In this role, you will serve as the “go-to” person for solving complex problems, building alignment across teams, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope - without necessarily having direct organizational authority. This position is ideal for someone with strong project leadership experience, exceptional problem-solving skills (preferably honed in one or more startup environments), and an ownership mentality that guarantees results. You won’t just be managing, you will be completing tasks required to move a project forward.

As these critical projects are a good approximation of the early days of company building, this role is intended for an individual with a drive to one day become an entrepreneurial founder. You will have the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership (notably our CEO and Chief Medical Officer), to gain hands-on experience in multiple facets of the business, and to make decisions that have a meaningful impact on the company’s trajectory. Your success will be measured by your ability to make good decisions with limited information and to have a mentality of “can-do” forward progress in spite of any obstacles.

This role does not provide visa sponsorship. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of hire and must not require employer sponsorship for a work visa (current or future).

Help reshape the world through proactive healthcare while working with cutting-edge technology and high performing teams with deep expertise - join us to make a difference in people’s lives!

What You'll Do

Project leadership

Own and drive one or two critical cross-functional projects at a time from ideation to hand-off to the business.
Develop clear project scopes, objectives, and success metrics in collaboration with stakeholders.
Organize and lead project status updates directly with the CEO and/or Chief Medical Officer, ensuring transparency on progress, bottlenecks, and key decisions.

Strategic Problem-Solving

Identify and analyze complex business challenges; propose and implement innovative, data-driven solutions.
Uncover root causes of issues, then devise strategies and workarounds to address them.
Bring a good gut feel for the right decisions to be made, supported by analytic skills and frameworks where necessary.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Build strong relationships with internal teams (Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance, etc.) to drive alignment and shared outcomes.
Influence without formal authority; articulate project objectives and value to get buy-in from diverse stakeholders.
Serve as a trusted partner and catalyst for getting things done across multiple functions.
Partner with operational teams to ensure smooth hand-offs and sustainability of project outcomes.

Stakeholder Management

Communicate project updates, risks, and milestones to senior leaders, framing insights in a clear, concise manner.
Proactively manage expectations, timelines, and competing priorities.
Ensure all stakeholders are informed, engaged, and able to contribute effectively.

What You’ll Bring

High achievement given constraints: Demonstrated history of high achievement under difficult constraints (resource, time, money). This might be through running a successful side business while maintaining an awesome GPA. This might be through experience as a critical pinch-hitter in a fast growth startup.
Ownership Mindset: Demonstrated experience of thriving in a fast-paced setting; taking full accountability for driving initiatives to completion. History of solving problems, not raising excuses.
Communication & Influence: Excellent written and verbal skills, with the ability to engage and persuade diverse stakeholder groups at all levels.
Analytical Skills: Strong data-driven decision-making capability; experience with spreadsheets, dashboards, and relevant analytics tools.
Entrepreneurial Aspirations: A passion for innovation and interest in eventually leading a venture or founding a company.
Grit: Grit is part of our core values, representing the perseverance and passion needed to engage deeply with our work. It’s essential to truly value both the journey - the dedication and creativity - and the outcomes we achieve.
Collaboration & Teamwork: Outstanding relationship-building skills and a track record of effectively working with cross-functional teams.
Education: Ideally, you will have graduated from a top undergraduate or graduate university and have a clear story and the academic path you chose to take.
Experience: You must be battle-tested with 3+ years of experience in operational, cross-functional roles. Current or former internal or external strategy-type roles, including consultants, require operational experience ideally in a startup setting for an application to be considered. Former founders, even if a venture was unsuccessful are encouraged to apply.

Our Values

First: we are Pioneers

Transforming healthcare requires divergent thinking, bias for action, disciplined experimentation, and consistent grit and determination to maintain momentum. This journey is as challenging as it is rewarding.

Second: we are Platform-Builders

We’re always building foundations that allow us to achieve tomorrow more than we did today. We never lose sight of what’s ahead – in a mindset of ownership and duty to our mission.

Above all: we are Patients

We could all be the next person who walks through our very doors, seeking clarity or peace of mind. We are proud of our impact on our patients’ lives, and we won’t stop till everyone can benefit from our work.

What We Offer

An avenue to make a positive impact on people's lives and their health
We believe in preventative healthcare for everyone, including our team - Prenuvo provides free, whole-body scans to each team member
Growth opportunities are at the heart of our people journey, we’re doing big things with bright minds - there is no single path to success, it can be shaped along the way
Building strong relationships is at the core of everything we do - our team gets together each week to connect, share, and socialize
Recognizing time away to restore is vital to our wellbeing - we have a flexible vacation policy and we will encourage you to use it
We offer a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, including Mental Health coverage, to support you and your family
Prenuvo offers eligible Canadian employees access to both RRSP and TFSA retirement savings plans, with immediate, optional enrollment and the flexibility to invest and save for the future on your own terms. While Prenuvo provides access to these plans, the company does not currently offer matching contributions.
The base salary for this role ranges from $110,000-$145,000 in local currency, depending upon experience and geographic location

We are an equal-opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.

As part of the hiring process, successful candidates will undergo a background check in compliance to applicable federal, provincial, and state rules.

Please be advised that official communication from our recruitment team will only come from our authorized domain [prenuvo.com]. If you are contacted by a recruiter, please ensure their email address ends with @prenuvo.com. We do not use third-party recruitment services or any other email domains for hiring purposes.
