Brampton / Mississauga, Ontario | Onsite, five days per week
Compensation: Up to approximately $85,000 annually
Prime Management Group Inc. is partnering with our client, a metal fabrication manufacturer, to recruit an HR Generalist supporting three Ontario plants and approximately 250 employees in a non-unionized environment.
This is a hands-on opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys working closely with employees and plant leadership. With involvement across all functional areas of human resources, you will help build positive employee relationships, support day-to-day operations, and deliver consistent HR practices across the three locations.
The Opportunity
You will be a trusted resource for employees and managers, bringing sound judgment, an approachable style, and a practical approach to workplace matters. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting recruitment, selection, onboarding, and employee orientation.
- Building positive employee relations through regular communication, responsiveness, and a visible presence on the plant floor.
- Providing guidance to supervisors and managers on employee concerns, attendance, performance management, and workplace policies.
- Supporting the resolution of workplace issues and participating in investigations as required.
- Coordinating training and development activities and supporting employee engagement and retention initiatives.
- Maintaining accurate employee records and supporting HR reporting, benefits administration, and other HR processes.
- Helping implement and maintain consistent policies and practices across all three plants.
- Supporting compliance with applicable employment legislation and company policies.
- Assisting with health and safety activities, training coordination, and related documentation.
What You Bring
- Previous HR generalist experience in a manufacturing environment.
- A CHRP designation, or substantial progress toward obtaining it.
- A demonstrated record of sustained contribution and commitment in previous roles.
- A strong understanding of positive employee relations within a non-unionized workplace.
- The ability to build credibility with hourly employees, supervisors, and management.
- A working knowledge of Ontario employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the discretion to handle confidential matters.
- An enthusiastic, proactive approach and a genuine interest in supporting people and improving the employee experience.
- Availability to work onsite five days per week and support locations in Brampton and Mississauga.
- Exposure to occupational health and safety would be an asset.
Why Consider This Role?
This position offers broad HR exposure across a three-plant manufacturing operation, with the opportunity to build meaningful relationships and make a direct contribution to workplace culture and employee success.
